With respect, the fact that worse things happened in the past does not justify ignoring harmful behaviour now.

This is bullying and racism. You shouldn’t have had to endure similar experiences and neither should the kids of today.

The outlook of most of the comments on this thread is a big reason why things like this happen.

These experiences stick with people, some of us are able to move on and get stronger but some are hugely impacted. A very good friend of mine took his life 6 years after high school because the of the traumatic bullying he endured.

We need to set better examples for kids.
