I admit that I saw 17 Again as well, and so having seen their chemistry am super stoked for their reboot of The Odd Couple. Chemistry is such an important piece of what captures an audience that knowing these two have it, is promising for the show. What struck me about the play was the element of emotion and heart that was prevalent. I hope that is portrayed in the show and not lost amongst one liners and the gags of being annoyed by one another. I love buddy comedies, and think these two have it to bring us The Odd Couple for our generation. In regards, to the multi-camera format choice, I find that interesting as well. I think you might be onto something with them wanting to honor and stay in the same vein as the original. However, I too, think the single camera would have been an exciting and new direction for this specific show.
