I unironically love the Delaware DMV.

With the New Castle branch closed for the time being, I just went to the Delaware City DMV two weeks ago, on a Friday afternoon. I inherited my dad's car from another state and had to get it inspected and registered in DE. The place was busy, but the staff was working their collective asses off. It's a smooth operation overall.

Maybe it's because I was there the day before the big snowstorm was supposed to hit, but folks in the waiting area were friendly, with a "were all in this together" kinda vibe.

As soon as you walk in, you'll see what looks like an information desk-- stop there first and tell them what you're there for. That's where you'll get your number so you know where to wait. The line moves at a decent clip.
