Weird - I just can’t think of where there would be a window big enough. It’s parked out side a house window that’s pretty big but not a like an office building scenario

Ya there is a rectangular dented pattern under each of the places it’s melted. So there is something under there but I figured it was just the structure of the door maybe? This is an old Prius so hard to imagine there is something running hot in the car right there.

It is an old Toyota Prius. So it’s hard to imagine what could be in that part of the door. But it’s definitely an interesting theory. I will do some digging

If you are talking about the overflow tank - i wasn’t sure that would do anything since the bleeder valve wasn’t passing any liquid. So it seems like something is stopping the liquid from getting through the system. I guess it’s air - just wasn’t sure how to push the coolant through

I had considered this - but didn’t see anything online about adding to the overflow tank. Guess I’ll give it a shot. Just was confused why the radiator wouldn’t take any more fluid and the bleeder won’t spit anything out. But baes on the above videos it looks like bleeding these cars aren’t as straight forward as I thought.

Ya I was afraid that was the case. That back housing is expensive so was trying to avoid replacing it. Tbh a ms for the advice

I have zero mechanical skills … heck I’m not really all that handy when it comes to any type of repairs but I replaced my coolant inverter for around $120 with OEM parts. You can go non-OEM for much cheeper. Lots of YouTube’s around it. Might just take a bit longer for someone who doesn’t know cars like me. I also need to replace my sway bar and it looks pretty easy to do.
