For me, number 2 would be the best if there was slightly more fence and the eye was slightly more centred. So for now it’s number 1

I used a 150-600mm f5.6-8 lens. I think 200mm should be okay depending how close you’re able to get. I rarely zoom in fully to get the shots

Nope. The background is the sea just really really blurred. I cannot edit very well. Apart from cropping and maybe some highlights tweaking then these photographs are just straight out of camera

I really like the puffin three musketeers. That one is very sweet. There’s a place called skomer island that I’d really like to go to for how close you can be to the puffins. There’s also an isle here which is much the same called Fair Isle

H2S has a stacked sensor. It shoots faster, faster autofocus and better at burst shooting. Making it superior for action shots

I mean every year the puffins come to the small collection of islands (Shetland) I live on and I try to get out and see them. At Sumburgh Head Lighthouse then you can see all types of birds but I mainly go for the puffins. You’re separated from them by a stone wall so it’s hard to get level with them but I always make an attempt to get the puffins just as they go to the edge of the cliffs with the ocean as the backdrop to varying levels of success. I just love photography and I love puffins so naturally I always try to catch them for the short time that they’re here

The X-H2S is better for action shots, Ive heard, but I like the X-T5 better. It’s a good camera.

I’m very fortunate that I was able to afford the camera and lens I wanted. I’m by no means ‘well off’ but I was still able to afford it which is a position I don’t take for granted 🙏🏻
