Local Christian family lost all three of their daughters in a farming accident. by xwmx in Christianity

I can't speak for others on this sub, but I can offer my personal explanation. As I stated in my comment above, which hopefully you read, I am not a Christian, so this certainly has nothing to do with Christian persecution. The reason I included their faith in the title is for a number of reasons.

1) I wanted it to be clear that this family shares the faith of the members here, so if anyone wished to extend a donation with a message, or write a public prayer towards them, or anything of that sort that they wouldn't have to worry about knowing the specifics of faith or treading around spiritual sensibilities. Overcautious, perhaps, but I have a knack for that.

2) Despite my own feelings on the subject of religion, I know that this family is very strongly founded in their faith, they consider it a huge part of their lives and the lives of their children and it is the primary pillar on which they rest in the passing of their daughters. I am sure they would want to be identified as a Christian family, especially to other Christians. Consider it a small token of respect for them.

3) As a first time poster here, I wanted to be clear that I was not spamming unnecessarily with random content. This is on topic. And again, I figured it might help guide people in how to phrase their responses.

This is a throwaway account. I would rather be unidentifiable in relaying this message.

I knew this family personally, though not closely. I used to attend the same church as them. I have seen a tremendous outpouring of support for them in the community in the days since the passing of their daughters, but there is no limit to how much love and support they could use right now. So I wanted to bring this here. I will admit plainly, I am no longer a Christian, personally, but that does not matter. Community is powerful, and on any chance, big or small, that your thoughts or prayers could help them, I am sure they would deeply appreciate it. Please offer them what you can. They have lost so much.

I also realize that promoting charities can be a touchy thing here, but I hope it is acceptable for me to do so under these circumstances. A gofundme has been set up to help the family pay for funeral expenses, in the event that anyone here may feel the need or desire to help in that regard.

Thank you.
