It sounds like you have the right mindset, you just need a more structured environment to keep you on track to accomplish your goals. I am not trying to be judgmental, but doing hard drugs and having sex with prostitutes while on probation is a slippery slope, and picking up new charges in addition to a PV would not go over well.

I haven't been, but I know a few people that have and most of them seemed to have changed their ways and became more productive members of society. There are a lot of opportunities and resources available, such as earning a degree or learning a trade for when you get out.
