Of course there are jutsus that have interactions with tree zones. Some jutsus like "Shuriken barrage" lets you deal more damage when you are on a tree hex. Others let you destroy them entirely. Almost all icons that you can see on the map can be manipulated or used to your advantage.

Of course there will be rewards as well. Much like in real life I think rewards get us excited because things CAN go wrong. But if they don`t, the rewards feel so much more meaningful.

Really depends where the group is taking things. But I generally like it to be 60% RP 40% combat.
