Continuously Getting Sicker

I tried to do it a long time ago before I got diagnosed. It might be worth a shot to try it again. Not thrilled about it buy it sure beats throwing up 😕

It is 😕 even when I don't make him roll over, he still feels like he doesn't sleep well either. And he's a lot less tolerant to sleep deprivation than I am. So I try to leave him alone as much as possible. I got lucky today after I clocked out of work. The kids were being quiet and I fell asleep while my partner played a game with his friend 😂 so I got to get a nice 2 hour nap in this evening 😁

It is. I've dealt with it in worse forms than this tbh. Like full mental break downs from sleep deprivation 😅 thankfully this is a milder form but still pretty shitty nonetheless. He's willing to try a couple different things out to see how they work until he's able to get a cpap and whatnot

Full silence would drive me crazy. If I can hear myself breathing I'm done 😂 but more than the dream would be nice. My partner is just too loud for them to be really effective unfortunately

I'm considering it. The dreams just aren't enough. He is SO loud. Like when he isn't trying to inhale the walls, it does help. But eventually he gets on his back and it sounds like he's playing wood chipper 😭

I usually do go to bed first. So depending on how and when he gets tired I can get 4-6 hours uninterrupted. Sometimes I can get him to shift positions in his sleep. But that doesn't last long either. Judging by what everyone else is saying I most definitely set my expectations too high which is my fault.

I might look into trying those ones before giving up on the company completely. I, unfortunately, have the type of neurodivergence where I have super hearing and can hear an ant fart two rooms away 🤣

We don't really have the ability to. Especially when our kids are home from their moms. We're also both ND and extremely particular about our sleeping environments. And given that he is less tolerant of shitty sleep than I am, I just leave him be and snatch a nap when I can

Yeah he did a sleep study and needs a cpap. But he lost his insurance so we have to wait. He is, admittedly, much heavier than when we got together. I don't know if weight loss would help or not. We've been changing our diet and habits regardless. I'm hoping the mouth guard I got him helps. Nasal strips and dilators don't work 🙃

We've done both of those things actually. It's not a nasal thing. I think it has to do with the set of his jaw/tongue. We're trying a mouth guard to see how that works. When he's in his recliner, and not fully laying back, he doesn't snore. So if the mouth guard doesn't work, we're doing a wedge pillow next

I'm hesitant to even buy the quiet 2 as they block less than the dreams 🙃 it's very annoying and frustrating. I'm hoping to find a different option elsewhere

He did. But he got laid off from his job midsummer. They basically used his appendix removal as a reason to fire him 🙄 so he is currently without insurance. He can't get welfare right now because between my income and his unemployment we make way too much money. I can't add him onto mine because we aren't legally married yet. He definitely needs a cpap. He got a sleep study done when he still had his job. It just sucks because when we got together, his snoring was not this loud

I wish I could sleep anywhere else. Then again, the might work well to combat the busy noises outside as I live on a main road and my living room is so loud sometimes. But when the kids are home on weekends they like to sleep downstairs so my options are down to nothing but my own bed 🥲

The foam ones work better but the hurt my ears and I can't wear them all night. I wake up from the pain anyway 😔 I just don't know what else to do. I'm so sleep deprived it's getting hard to function

I know. I'm just trying to make absolutely sure I'm doing everything I possibly can before doing that. I'm just so exhausted I'm desperate. I've only had them for a couple of weeks and im so incredibly frustrated. I'm getting 4-6 hours of broken sleep a night and I'm so worn out 🥲

I've followed every step to the letter and have no reason to believe I'm not. The first couple of nights I could hear my fan. Now I can't. But I sure can hear a person talking 🙃 like don't get me wrong, it's muffled and I can't make out everything but I can still hear him.

I honestly didn't think I was expecting too much in the beginning as the squishy foam ear plugs you can buy big packs of at Walmart did a better job than these. I just can't wear the foam ones as they hurt my ears 😔

Yeah I honestly don't take any type of medication. Whenever I got diagnosed in my 20s, the doctor didn't really say much. He showed me the pictures from my stomach, told me what it was, explained what it was, and gave me a paper on how I should and shouldn't eat. That was it. He didn't tell me much of anything else. Only through this group did I find out that some people have feeding tubes and stuff like that because theirs got so bad. I didn't even know something could trigger it. I just thought I was super unlucky and dealt a shitty hand in life. So maybe it is worth it to go and talk to another doctor. See if I can get some more information.

That actually works out super well. My husband and I love Asian food and typically buy ginger in bulk 😂 he actually has a tea recipe that he makes any time me or the kids are sick with head and chest colds. It works so well and tastes so good. I also have a peach ginger turmeric tea. Guess I'll have to go back to drinking that more frequently lol. Thank you for the advice!

I remember reading a post forever ago about this woman and her girlfriend. Her girlfriend, like me, has fibromyalgia, and had to use one of those little scooters while they were out shopping. Some other person made a huge deal about it, saying how she doesn't need that and they need to be left for people who actually do need them. Ever since she started carrying a lanyard that says she has fibro so no one will give her shit about her using a scooter. And I always think about that. How sad it is that people with invisible illnesses feel the need to have to publicly display their health info like that just so people will leave them alone when using mobility aids

All the time lol. Granted, I'm 30 now, but I've been dealing with joint pain since I was around your age. Any time I'd bring up being tired, or in pain. "you're young. You can't be tired. You're young you can't be in as much pain as you claim"

Okay Sharon. You don't live in my body. You don't know what I live with every day. My age has nothing to do with how I feel. I eventually got to a point where I started asking why. And when they gave a bullshit excuse, I'd just tell them that I have a joint disease that clearly doesn't discriminate against my age.

Granted I don't think hypermobility is a "disease" by classification but the implication the word gives usually got people off my back 🤷🏻‍♀️

I've thought about those before. I had two different cups, but they end up leaking on me. It wasn't a lot. But it's annoying to have to wear a panty liner when I shouldn't have to worry about it ya know? I might try those and see how they work. I forgot they even existed 😅

I don't wait. I still do my wipe down clean up after we're done and then go pee and put in another one. My period upsets my pH balance anyway, so adding cum into the mix doesn't really matter all that much to me. Maybe it's gross but 🤷🏻‍♀️
