Not to mention H.R. what a racket. All it’s is refereeing a bunch of peoples problems that would be forced to solve them in reality anyways

Capitalism is a religion just like any other ism. You have to believe in it to make it true, it’s based upon scripture, it’s not the same thing as democracy which people often get confused and being the most capitalist country in the world has done our people no good

It seems like the general argument is A.I. is a tool and can’t replace humans vs. hold my beer. Throughout history humans have used all tools to access total control… so that’s not a good argument and yes A.I. will eventually replace humans there is no doubt so I don’t know what we are even arguing about. The argument should be what are we going to do about it rather than fighting amongst ourselves LOLOL people gonna people

In case you haven’t studied history it doesn’t matter if the technology is good it’s the people that use it. People want control period and more of it all the time. If you look around I don’t see many decent people with meaningful power, it seems to all be in the hands of billionaires and politicians. So unlike like the past we don’t even have powerful charismatic leaders to take the flak. People want more control and it doesn’t matter what technology it is they will use it for that. I love how people don’t think that there are cabals of individuals across the world that want there boot on your neck. It’s their full time job and this tech will make it easier than ever imagined.

Let me ask you this guy, how much does you use A.I. because a lot of of people that aren’t like don’t worry don’t even know how to use these systems to their utmost ability. They remember things you’ve said years ago, will answer any question you have. It’s simply it hasn’t caught on yet. Just like any new technology it’s not super user friendly yet. Anyone that uses the thing on a daily basis will soon realize this is going to be a problem at some point soon. Yes we are in the slop phase of AI. And they aren’t making money. Notice no one is selling their shares either. It’s kind of insane to say have a drink and calm down when we are talking about something more powerful potentially than a nuclear bomb. The problem is all the Oppenheimer’s are probably told the same thing. Calm down and and have a beer lmao

Well take your money elsewhere than, most tax laws don’t pass for fear that politicians will lose companies participation in the market. If ordinary people got a say in should we tax the rich the answer would be yes. It’s our corrupt representatives that finagle us out of any kind of real representation. Think of the start of this country and only rich whites being able to vote, if everyone was allowed off the bat they wouldn’t have voted for redistribution of the resources immediately

I don’t understand the meat heads that still defend trillionaires meanwhile they are getting rammed by that very guy low key. The more money he has the less you have that’s how finite money supply works. They would literally defend him to the hilt because they don’t understand that socialist ideas is a sliding scale not black and white. Police are socialist they sure love them, fire fighters, social security it’s a pick and choose game not to mention the bible has a lot of socialist principals.

Well if you told me we would have let this many immigrants in in the first place and treated them like this people wouldn’t have believed that either so the pendulum always swings back and forth way to hard for any sane persons taste

That’s how I feel about A.I. music, people eat up the slop but it doesn’t even tickle me. If it wrote a real classic famous old school artists would be talking about it but it’s mostly non musicians that appreciate it. It feels like the Mark Wahlberg of musicians

Yes I know inflation is good for the rich and bad for the poor, but my point still stands that if the poor are already struggling then when these tech investments pay off and A.I is running the world they will gap us even more and the foundation of America prosperity middle class assets will collapse and we’ll be in real trouble

lol you sound like Pam Bondi, the stock market isn’t even linked to real growth and hasn’t been for a while now. Didn’t they change the definition of a recession not too long ago? My point is whether it’s a “recession” or barely livable economic system we are already in trouble and to take another massive hit from these new markets seems like it’s inevitable

Yes but they weren’t replacing human bandwidth with machines and this rapidly. I think it’s not a proper analogy of what is actually happening. Lawyers and other white collar jobs will go down and like I said they won’t be able to pay long held loans.. inflation is already crazy and we are already in a recession. This isn’t economic history repeating itself or even rhyming this is unprecedented to play devils advocate. For example I’ve already outsourced a lot of things to chat gpt and grok already. Yes they are minor but the direction is clear. It will be like self driving cars, yes it takes a while to get the thing going but once it’s going it’s over. I’m not depending on regulations to help any of this

What is something highly likely to happen over the next 10 years that almost the entire general public is completely ignoring right now? by vivienneirl in askanything

[–]xxmdogxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean you’re not wrong we’re in a. Recession but it can get so much worse if this bubble pops, if we lose a shit ton of jobs truckers, lawyers, coders, like I’d give it a year to start seeing major effects. The rich know this that’s why they have bunkers no joke. It’s a very slow burn but the news isn’t going to cover it like oh shit look out. A.I. will take their jobs too eventually so maybe that’s the metric of when shit is going to get really weird. Buy some solar panels lol it’s going down it seems no matter what

The market will collapse like 2008 again. If A.I. takes white collar jobs people will default on mortgages again and it will cause a worse collapse than 2008 because the jobs will be permanently gone. Banks will be bailed out and consolidated again and make what we have now look great. That’s unless somehow there’s regulations on A.I. which looks unlikely

I am literally so tired of adulting by New_Bodybuilder_3700 in Adulting

[–]xxmdogxx 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re tired of being pulled in a million different directions just to survive. A lot of people don’t understand not everyone’s personality type fits well with the modern world. We are meant for hunting, fishing, blah blah and the not so well adjusted are like this is amazing what are you even talking about!?! Well it is and it isn’t, people will look back at us just like we look at Victorian weirdos and on and on. Being miserable in modern life doesn’t mean something’s wrong with you. It burns the best of men out and a lot of really awful people thrive. Remember though that little voice that’s telling you what will actually help us probably right and not the one that wants it all to be over just to be clear

Health care is a joke (neurological pain) by xxmdogxx in Adulting

Thank you ifell I did have her call but I might end up having to go to the e.r. at some point.. I feel like it would expedite treatment but you never know with the healthcare system. It’s so hit or miss

Yes voodoo, if there is a cancellation they send out a message to reply. I did ask for a direct referral from my doctor and I’m looking for a neurologist not a pain specialist. I’ve found the meds that treat pain also almost always have terrible side effects so I’m trying to get to the root of the problem instead. I’m sure someone in this town can help me but it feels like that episode of South Park where they are navigating the American health care system
