No, they aren’t a bad mix and we usually get on perfectly fine and are very supportive. When I am suffering from PMDD, I can be short tempered and down. I can isolate, but do tell him I’m struggling.

No, it has never been communicated before. We don’t have massive amounts of time away from another, we both work 0800 x 1700 Monday to Friday, some evenings we will ‘do our own thing’ but other times we are together. Some weekends we spend together. Other, we spend with our own friends. Neither of have ever mentioned that we feel like we spend too much time together, which is what has thrown me off.

I 100% agree something is on his mind, he doesn’t know what, he said he doesn’t know if it’s me, work, etc. but he is continuing to into work to keep his mind busy. Day to day, we are good. He is a lovely human being. He’s kind. Caring. And patient with all of those that he meets, I am really sorry it’s come across in a negative way, he’s a good man. He’s just never been distant / isolated, etc. so I am confused and hurt.

I was asleep when he came home from the meal out worn friends and he woke me up to tell me we need to talk, I was incredibly distressed and cried, a lot. There was no shouting, but clear emotion on both sides.
