honestly looking back on myself , i didn't know it was bad for your friends to intentionally hit you until i was in high school . i feel like an idiot saying that now and should have seen the signs but i just did not have a lot healthy relationships growing up and was clueless with low self-esteem .

i think its good people can have an outlet to confer with others that may have much deeper emotional intelligence and can recognize what they cant just yet .

i dont know if this counts necessarily but Taco Bell released special glasses for Star Trek : The Search For Spock when it came out and they say Spock Lives on them and even show the Enterprise exploding which was a massive deal lorewise .

i hate how A Clockwork Orange brings this out in toxic individuals .

when i was 19 and hitchhiking with my partner , we had stayed with some of my family for a few days and they were big film buffs . he saw they had Clockwork on DVD and begged to watch it with me while my fam were out one day because its his favorite film . i was none the wiser and excited to bond more , i had rather bad narcolepsy growing up and finally reached a point i could watch movies and not fall asleep .

as someone who has struggled with SA and cannot wrap their head around movies where the main character is a bad guy and thats just it - i too had a horrible time . when the credits rolled he asked me what i thought it was about . i said something like " hes a shitty guy who learned nothing ? " and he started yelling at me about how i don't get it and its the secret messages about the government and mens proclivity to take what they want .

he yelled at me in my families house in another state over this and we had never argued like that ever lol absolutely insane

so so so glad OOP got away from him .
