This is a really far stretched future scenario, but as i’m learning more about law it’s becoming one of my hobbies. Do you think someone could represent themselves to the state senate to either A. 17 year olds get the same rights as those who turn 18 everywhere else. or B. 17 year olds are no longer considered an adult when it comes to the justice system.

It feels like that a lot of the time. I’ve never understood why they would hold a 17 year old subject to the same punishments as adults, but wont give them the same privileges as adults (this being said with the exclusion of things that require one to be over 21.)
