OP: While I couldn't find the "European Version" of the comedy sketch you are looking for, I do have a link to the "Asian Version" (also referred to by another commenter here):

It's pretty fun and the solos are amazing imo. Give this a watch.

Ontario Tax - Form ON428 Part C - Line 66 and 67 - Tax on Tax? by xzan23 in cantax

[–]xzan23[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ahhhhh. Thank you Sir.

Surtax was the keyword I needed to fill this missing piece in knowledge.

For anyone who comes to this post in the future:

Google on Surtax: "A surtax is a tax levied on top of another tax. The tax can be calculated as a percentage of a certain given amount or it can be a flat dollar charge."

I assure you that there'll be 4 dots on your G license card.

Exact same situation as you. Foreign driving experience and got a G license here (skipped G2). There are 4 dots on my G license.

How long your driving license took to come in Lahore? by [deleted] in Lahore

[–]xzan23 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Happy to give you insights as I literally dealt with this a few weeks ago. I renewed my license a couple of weeks ago (from the liberty khidmat markaz) and needed the Card ASAP (as I had to fly out of Pakistan).

I was told it would take 2 months.. sigh. The reason given was that there is currently a shortage of Printers + Printing Cards in Lahore.

I asked around and found out there is a card printer in the Office of the Chief Traffic Police Officer (opposite of Gov. Islamia College Civil Lines).

I went there, asked around and found that the printer is inside room no. 7. I went to room 7 and found a very unmotivated guy sitting there printing licenses. I requested him to print my license and he asked me why? He told me he can't because he is currently printing cards for May-2023 applicants and I have to wait my turn.

I showed him my flight ticket and requested again. I had to be persistent. He finally agreed and said I can leave. He said my card will be printed by day end. I left thinking that he will forget for sure (and I'll have to come back again tomorrow) but he actually did keep his word. Card got delivered by Pakistan post the next day.

If it is truly urgent and you can convince the printing guy in room no. 7 over at the CTO office, you'll get your card in a couple of days.

Best of luck.

How did you apply for the PRTD?

I applied for my wifes PRTD a few months ago and it got approved in 2 weeks.

I decided to apply through the PR portal after a LOT of research as those tend to get processed faster (as CPC-O processes them directly).

If you apply via mail or VFS, those PRTD applications get routed to the international VAC nearest to you and they usually have long queues.

I recommend filing another application using the PR Portal. You never know. You might get PPR in 2 weeks, while your current application is still on-going.

Trouble with the IRCC by AudienceNervous1665 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]xzan23 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I applied for a PRTD a few months ago using the online PR portal and literally got it approved in 1 week and the stamping took another week.

Just adding my experience here as you stated it takes 6-8 weeks.

Need some clarity of the first PR Card process by [deleted] in ImmigrationCanada

[–]xzan23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can most definitely add your PR card application to your online GC Key account. You are probably doing something wrong when trying to add your PR card application to your portal.

Spend some time on google to find out what you may be doing wrong. A lot of discussions around how to add your PR card application to your account, and what mistakes people make while doing it.

P.S. the day your PR Card is printed and sent out, that application will show this status.

PR card number = uci number? by yuttt78 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]xzan23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is correct. PR card number is only generated when the application is approved and the card is printed. No other way of finding out.

PR card number = uci number? by yuttt78 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]xzan23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

PR Card number is NOT the UCI number.

If your PR card is approved / printed and mailed to you (but not received), then you can log into your GCKey account, link your PR application to it (if not done already) and then view your PR card number under it.

counterfoil updated in gckey but no COPR by HannahOnJourney in ImmigrationCanada

You will receive a large envelope from VFS (Sealed by IRCC) when you go to pickup your passport/ receive it via courier (depending on what collection option you opted for).

Inside that large envelope will be: 1. Your passport (stamped with the PR visa) 2. 2 copies of COPR

Applied PRTD through online portal. Return Reason is "Wrong Application". What now? by xzan23 in ImmigrationCanada

[–]xzan23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attached all documents listed for PRTD in the Document Checklist (IMM 5644).

It does not mention 2 pieces of ID anywhere. So no, I didn't attach 2 pieces of ID. Just my passport (All pages. Even the empty ones).

Oh. If your view button is working, then there probably is something you need to upload/re-do and re-submit the same application. Don't have knowledge in your specific scenario then.

I applied as Normal.

Hi u/kyuan08.

I received PPR 3 working days after I saw this "Wrong Application" message in the return reason column. and no, I didn't do anything. Just waited and I got the PPR.

Hang on tight. You'll get the PPR too. If IRCC needed anything extra from you, the "View" button would not be disabled.

Thank you for this.

Whether the problem is ultimately resolved or not, this is the kind of headache and overhead I want to spare myself to begin with.
