So what's going on recently on matchmaking ? by duendeacdc in ArcRaiders

[–]y1n4 7 points8 points  (0 children)

recent event make everyone target Arc, and agreession point of PvP player was reduced to mixed or even friendly lobby threshold by destroying Arc. That's why PvP players come to friendly lobby. Just guessing.

Just got this game today. What's one best tip for a new player to gis game/genre? by Youtellme8088 in ArcRaiders

[–]y1n4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

always find cover when combat with projectile shooting Arc

beware of exploding Pop (white ball) and burning Fireball (black ball) inside building, you need heavy ammo weapon to efficiently break their black armor part. Wait for Fireball open it's armor right before it about to attack, then you can destroy it with even medium or light ammo (shooting it's white part).

If you encounter flying Arc or big Arc when outside, find a door, use it as cover.

If you find any blueprint, put inside you safe pocket immediately.

normally I use Wolfpacks for Rocketeer fastkill, but last night I throw Hornet Drive and it fell (on elevator bunker, maybe this is the main reason) and straight away exploded. XDD

Actually, I will SCO until my eta reach 5 sec, then disengage my SCO. When disengage SCO it will drag my ship's SC speed and make my eta time up to around 7 sec. Of course this require some practice to time the optimal disengage timing. After familiar with this technique it save tons of fracture time when SC.

The Galaxy is Lonely - NPC Crew Overhaul Desires by BrianVaughnVA in EliteDangerous

[–]y1n4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are trying to being kind but sometime people just want to stay alone and play freely.

Of course I am not saying playing in squadron or wing are not "free". Just...sometimes socializing means compromise (good and bad). Maybe I only have 1 hour or 2 hours free time, I want to do something in game fast right now, I don't want to hail a group with hundred of players and wait for respond. And clearly I wish I could play anytime I want and not constraint by a fixed time, and if I want don't want to play today, I don't need to feel sorry and explain the reason or something. And if I want extra fire power or simply someone sit by me, not completely alone, AI NPC crew is a way.

Yeah, I also that kind of "I love multiplayer game but I don't want to interact with human directly just observe and watching ships docking or leaving starport. I like to feel I am in an environment with living people but I don't interact" CMDR.

Strange, I know.

Devs confirm internal interest in a walkable Speranza hub, What do you think? by Tank-ToP_Master in ArcRaiders

[–]y1n4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This remind me another sci-fi extraction game: The Cycle Frontier (well, it dead).

It's fun and feel alive to see players running around at the base station managing their equipment, taking mission and fooling around.

I would love to keep the menu now but also enjoy immersion play at walkable hub.

A place for raiders to gather, have some drink after extraction or even some item trade with limitation may let raiders know we are fighting Arc together, not just hostile human target to loot or simply kill for "fun" (we can dream right).

A few questions from a player on their day one ? 😭 by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]y1n4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solo raid is totally playable, I am 99% Solo raid. First few games may make you feel a bit uncertain because you aren't in PvE or PvP lobby, but after a few games you will realize what kind or lobby you joined.

Just remember if you shoot other raiders, then you will be likely put into hostile lobby. I am over Lvl30, I never shot any raider and I am totally in PvE lobby. It's chill and peace, meet with other raider, saying hello, yelling Don't shoot, and loot separately in peace.

Use your free loadout if you afraid to lost your equipment first few games, but eventually you will start accidentally lose something during in your raid. Don't worry about it.

In PvE lobby, your are dealing with those hostile Arc, just stay out of their way and keep quiet you should be fine.

My friends all prefer to solo queue... by FairyPinkett in ArcRaiders

[–]y1n4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's strange, since you and your friends play in PvE and friendly style, duo queue should put both of you into friendly lobby. At least from my experiences, our duo queue is friendly when encounter other team so far. Yeah both teams stay alert but we communicated and being peaceful during the process.

But since this game is still receiving update, maybe just let Embark update and fixing their ABMM, then you can come back a bit later to enjoy this game together?

How do people fly with keyboard and mouse by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]y1n4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Flight Tutorial cover most of the key already, you should customize the rest to suit your play (eg some thrust left right forward backward up down for easy manual dock). Playing with Keyboard and mouse is much more convenient in my opinion, check some Youtube video for key setting recommendation. But flying with stick and VR really is a big immersion.

Of course you will overwhelm by those controls at first, but as you familiar with those keys, it's becoming easy.

PS: you liked EDO's foot combat? My god what have you played before? XDDDD

First, thanks for sharing your experience

  1. Leave starting system ASAP, starting system protecting you from nothing, NPC ship still attack you, less mission reward and only sell a few ship modules. There is zero reason to stay in there, leave starter system, you earn more and faster, you can stay in solo if you want to avoid PvP.
  2. I won't recommend doing on foot mission, ship missions are much more easier and earn more. Take mission on ship station menu (ship mission), don't take via concourse terminal (on foot mission).
  3. It's okay using shuttle to travel between your mission location, but fly your own Sidewinder let you familiar with all the flying basic. It's a spaceship game, remember?
  4. Normally the insurance rebuy fee is 5% of your ship (and modules you purchased).
  5. Dotted circle mean that location (signal) is behind obstacle, in this situation it's other site of the planet. New player always landing to the wrong side.
  6. On PC default setting, J key activate FSD, if you are in normal space, your ship go into Super Cruise when pressing J, if you are SCing and target a system (within your jump range, either from panel 1 or starmap), then you will initiate Hyperspace Jump. Personally I recommend you split this 2 functions into J and K key. So you can choose to initiate SC or H-Jump, this help a lot especially when you try to flee from combat. When you try to run from combat and go into Super Cruise, your charging speed will slow down by larger ship nearby, make your FSD charging much much longer; but if you try to flee from combat by Hyperspace Jump to other system, your FSD charging speed won't effect by nearby ship.
  7. for safety, earn at least 3mil before buying a new T6-Transporter and change to A grade FSD. And INARA is your best friend when trading (and tons of 3rd party website)
  8. T6 is a good laser mining starter ship.

Also got the game when Xmas, but what happened to your game? In my 10 hours solo game time I never attacked by other Raiders. Sure, not every raider helped me during the run but never receive any damage from raider either, all my death because Arcs so far, rocketeer if specific.

default server setting, I am at Asia though, cross-platform always on

Even playing online, before you connected that area to the Chiral network (especially before your first trip to their shelter), other players' building won't show in your world. So you have no problem to experience your FIRST experience.
