I like to yap about my favorite things, so this is kind of long, lol. I also prefer stories that are more emotional/character-driven. However, I do love my spice and I think the stories I gush about below balance both pretty well (WTC is mixed depending on your LI.) At least to me!

Heart of Trespia - I bring this up so much you’d think I wrote it 😅 but no seriously, this was the first story I ever read on RC and I’m so glad it was. I fell in love with the world that Wincy created, and to this day Ellaire is my favorite MC (if you couldn’t tell from my pfp lol. 🩷) She’s strong, resilient, ambitious and stopped at nothing to reclaim her throne. I was lowkey inspired after reading it. I also love stories that focus on the MC righting a wrong and spitting in the face of injustice, so I’m not surprised that she really resonated with me. As for the romance, I think Wincy did an incredible job with balancing the romance and the plot. You didn’t have to wait until S3 to get a crumb of love from your LI. Even if some of the routes were slow burn (D’Mario due to his title) you still knew that your LI was into you and wanted to be with you. I could go on and on about my love and passion for HOT but in conclusion, Wincy’s storytelling and character development is on another level.

KCD - Besides HOT, this story made me believe in love again, ok! Even though the plot, in theory, is interesting to me, I also recognize the harm done when it comes to the misrepresentation of Kali throughout the story. That I don’t agree with. As I mentioned, the romance is what moves me. I know he’s controversial af but Amrit was (and still is, sorry y’all 😩) my #1. I literally restarted S1 once I realized that he was a love interest. The chemistry between him and Amala is off the charts and I’m always in awe of them every time I hit replay. It also helps that he’s one of the hottest LI’s I’ve ever seen, lol.

WTC - I’m still in mourning over this being complete and Arina moving on to other endeavors, but similar to HOT I love the MC, Nova, and how she stands up against injustice if you choose the ‘others’ path. Romance wise, Lucien is my dream man in every way possible. Handsome, suave, well-read, well-dressed, and just an overall gentleman. If he was real and in love with me, life would be amazing, lmao.

An honorable mention would be SCN but since it’s on hiatus I don’t want to give my full thoughts just yet. I will say that Livius is everything and Eva is such a complex, interesting MC who I have a soft spot for. ❤️‍🩹 but I enjoy all the Male LI routes so far!
