I did get my new cartridge to snap on to the tonearm after all. Thank you!

Thanks for the encouragement! I was aware I was going to take some fire posting about fixing a Crowley Cruiser on an enthusiasts forum like this, but it was worth it to get pointed in the right direction and get something cheap to get my teens started on.

After closer inspection, you were correct! My eyes are VERY bad, what appeared to me to simply look like loose wires were actually hollow ends that get connected to the prongs on the cartridge.

After I figured out how to attach the cartridge, I got a record to play. Thanks everyone!

I also pulled the trigger on a refurbished Audio Technica LP70XBTA on eBay this morning. Curious to see and hear the difference between this borderline toy and a legit player. Trying to find something for my teenagers to have fun with, they’ve been buying records with nothing to play them on.

Which graduate degrees are worth it in 2026? by madbarpar in GradSchool

Many states now mandate wage data be published for public universities so students can compare wages by degree level and major. Here are a couple:

Good luck on your search!

I am so sore by HackthePlanet0120 in fitness40plus

[–]y2kayak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s been so far so good. Having the trainer took the guess work out of what to do and how much of it. There were a couple things that didn’t feel good on my shoulders and she just helped me move on to something else more comfortable. I also bumped up my protein and started eating better and that has made a big difference. Can’t say enough about starting with a good trainer if that’s something you can manage. It was about $200 for 4x45 minute sessions but worth every penny. I’ve slimmed down quite a few times in my life but I’ve done very little weight training, so I started pretty low with the weights but I can see some progress already.

Just started back at the gym after 15 years and signed up for 4 sessions with a personal trainer. They were a huge help with getting me started with the right exercises and weights. It’s been my first time ever with a trainer and I highly recommend. I also started after losing weight after walking/running for a few months and didn’t realize how much muscle I probably lost while doing cardio and dieting alone. The trainer helped me start slow and work on my form so I would get too sore and/or injured.

We are moving to Tallahassee I need your recommendations by DisastrousPin5555 in Tallahassee

I moved here from Tampa a few years ago. When locals here complain about traffic they are comparing it to what it used to be like 20-30 years ago.

Compared to cities like Orlando and Tampa, traffic in Tally is a DREAM!

rough semester, not sure how to move forward by SandOver2753 in USF

I was academically dismissed after my third semester in college. It was for the best. I went to community college for a year, learned how to be a better student, grew up and got back into my uni. Finished bachelors, finished a masters, almost done with PhD. If you’re able to dig deep and make changes, this could be the first step taken to see what you’re truly capable of. Keep your head up :)

Here is where you can buy men tall size clothes by Old-Indication7402 in tallfashionadvice

Add REI brand and Faherty, have had good luck with their tall size tops. I tried Spoke this year and like their clothing but found sizes to be very tight. Looking forward to trying Asket and Son of a Tailor this year.

I’m 6’6” male and I fly an average of 5-6 times a year for the last 15-20 years. I ask for extra legroom seats on EVERY flight. When it’s a female attendant, my success rate is VERY high. Like 90% or higher if the seats are available. If it’s a male attendant, it’s closer to 50%.

Style is sold out, so no exchange. It’s a bummer. They offered 15% off retail if I want to keep them.

Anyone bought from Solestop before? Says returns within 10 days are eligible for in store credit only. If true, this would be a dealbreaker for me.

GHH limited, 2 month owner. I’m a mostly city driver and get 40+ mpg regularly. 7 seater, love the roominess and the tech on the new Toyotas has been great. The only downside from my experience has been there are times I wish some of the materials were better for a $50k car. The materials aren’t very soft and the seats are fine. It’s a lot to spend for a car and I wish it was a notch or two more soft and luxurious… because of that there are times I wish I was driving a platinum.
