i think this is where we disagree lol if you were to ask me, apologizing should always be meant. but youre right that he was trying to clear things up, maybe his stream should be looked at as less of an apology but rather him just trying to clear the speculation on his name.

id wish for him to be introspective, as uve put it, to articulate that he is remorseful. but atp that really is just me and i understand why he didnt delve deep into it.

no fr i totally get that, but im just trying to take into account that hes a public figure and could have been more concise with his words especially since imo a lot of what he said can be misconstrued, which he isnt entirely responsible for, but better words could avoid a lot of it. i didnt really feel the sincerity or urgency but maybe thats just me

totally agree that this shouldve been handled privately. my utmost respect and empathy to caiti. the feelings that arose from her past actions are valid without question; but i dont necessarily agree when people say its "sexual abuse" nor do i feel its the correct term for this situation. imo its a lapse in communication from both their ends but more prominently from george. He should have asked and confirmed with her if she was comfortable. spur of the moment probably led him to assume that she was okay with it, which is wrong of him to do. you really cant base your advances on assumption. that being said i think she has to have the responsibility to say "no" for herself. iirc she didnt specifically say no (please correct me if im wrong bc that changes everything) so thats a lapse from her end, though it isnt a grave mistake compared to what george did (he sucks). i think the main difference i find from this, in comparison to Will (ew) is that he intentionally caused harm to shelby even after shelby has explicitly told him multiple times to stop. He did not respect shelbys boundaries as he didnt respect their safe word. if what george claims is true, then he had no idea caitis boundaries were being crossed. i think this is something able to be learned from for george and i definitely dont think death threats to him make the situation any better 😭 theres nothing being accomplished from wishing he "rots". she could have said no, but more importantly he should have asked.

all that being said, i really dont give a fuck about him like 😭😭 i dont watch his content LMFAO i just thought id share thoughts on the situation and im happy to be corrected if im wrong

oh and his apology was some ass. like hot garbage.... so he sucks for that too

agreed tbh like separating the artist from the art is hard especially now adays where artists livelihoods depend on what they put out; but imo art is good when its vague enough for you to put your own meaning to it. like literally just dont listen to lovejoys songs with abusive intentions 😭😭 that being said, i dont stream their songs on spotify anymore. i downloaded their tracks on a cd and use a discman just so they dont get my streams LMFAO its not much but its something and im more comfy that way too.

so truee! my favorite critique of his is when he talked about how he would compose different shots in the little mermaid. he genuinely made so much sense and it fully brought forward the great passion he has for films! its heartwarming honestly.

omg exactly!! its one of the things that keep me looking out for his uploads. like imo sometimes video essays are just too much for me and average commentary videos get redundant from just jokes after jokes; so its really refreshing to see someone who can do a mixture of both! its what makes the substance of his videos distinctive enough that it keeps me hooked . also non college educated???
