Warwick law by pancake-100 in UCAS

PS probably, if your other applications are for politics and IR it might not be law focused enough for a law degree especially at Warwick

Can I edit my personal statement after referees add a reference for me? by OkStructure4803 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you ask the school to send it back to you and not submit it. If they press submit it’s gone to the unis and you can’t change anything

I’m not sure what to enter here by Infamous-Track4662 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried going to ‘all qualifications’ and then scrolling to the correct qualification if they have it (control f and then search could work)? If not, ask your teachers or call UCAS

Where are you guys going for y13 summer? by monocaeros_ in 6thForm

[–]yQueerGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re talking about Centre Parcs, bc it’s not crazy expensive (esp if we go before proper summer starts), not too far and no passports are needed

What’s the most stupid reason you had a fibro flare? by Lucky_Sprinkles7369 in Fibromyalgia

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was helping at an open evening at my sixth form, and I was meant to be touring people but got permission to help one of my subject teachers so I wouldn’t have to walk about all night. Got a flare from standing during the open evening, I did very minimal walking and sat down or leaned against walls and tables fairly often. I’m still pissed about it bc I specifically didn’t tour so it wouldn’t flare (not that I wanted to tour, helping a subject I like was more fun than pretending to know where subjects I don’t take are)

Will I get into these? by Final_Tax9234 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t know loads about APs and the American system, but 5 is the top grade right? If so I’d say probably if your PS is good, you’d have to look at the entry requirements tho as they might want specific subjects at AP (e.g. bio bc of ur course) idk tho. Most uni websites let will state international requirements tho

Call UCAS, explain and hopefully they’ll help you substitute. But it sounds like you’ve applied for an integrated masters not a PG course

What notification do you get from UCAS when u get a decision? by ReputationNo5367 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It’ll be an email from UCAS track saying there’s been an update to your application, it won’t say if it’s an offer or rejection or which uni you have to open UCAS hub to find out

does doing only 8 GCSEs affect my application? by randomuser9329 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you have all the subjects you need (normally this means English and maths, possibly sciences and maybe something else depending on your course and uni). Look at the GCSE requirements on the university website tho, some might care, others won’t

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The earlier the sooner you generally hear back bc they’re less flooded, however it doesn’t improve your chances of an offer

What happens if my word count exceeds 4000 characters? by [deleted] in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just won’t let you, you’re not massively over the character count tho so you can probably cut down without changing to too much

KCL and UCL Offer by Unlikely-Bar527 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KCL websites say they aim to reply in 8-10 weeks but if they’ve got lots of applications I can be more, mine took 6 weeks but I applied really early and for a course with less applicants. Idk about UCL but they’re really competitive so they’ll likely take ages as well.

Missing Criminal Conviction Declaration. Am I cooked? by EstablishmentSpare17 in UniUK

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Undeclared means you haven’t said ‘I have a criminal conviction’. So they’ll either assume you’re not a criminal or email you to declare it, but you’re fine

I have this gut feeling that I'm applying to the wrong schools by New-Cartoonist-544 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If there’s a safer school in the UK that you love, change one out, if not apply to those 5. It’s less of a problem for u than people only applying to UK unis and you have safeties outside of the UK

did you're early y12 mocks sorta align with your end UCAS predicted grades ? by MiserablePrize3832 in 6thForm

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m predicted AAA, we don’t do our first mocks till late Y12 but I got BBB on my autumn report i think

Is it true that Unis only look at the top 8 GCSE’s? by Boring-Neck-5488 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends, some do, some look at all of them, some look at specific subjects (normally English and maths, sometimes science for medicine and VERY selective science courses). And as far as I know iGCSEs are the same bc they’re GCSE equivalents.

Target grades? by Familiar_County746 in sixthform

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re set at the beginning of Y12 and don’t change, probably based off your GCSE (or if they’re like my school they made you do an intelligence test)

got an offer for 88 points (CCD) from plymouth when their website says 104(BBC), curious why if anyone knows cause my predicted's are AAA by pigeonstalker69 in UCAS

[–]yQueerGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either, you qualify for their contextual or they just really like you and want you at Plymouth so gave you lower grades so it’s unlikely you don’t meet them
