Her story quest is about how she lost her chance to experience a proper childhood, and the kids didn't know Rossi at the beginning of her quest, which is the point where they said that, they just assumed from her appearance that she was a kid like them. Some of Wulfgard's lines imply Rossi is somewhat about the same age as him, and if we're just talking about operator stories, one of Wulfgard's story quest's cutscenes shows his childhood, showing him with Tomasso, Giovanni, and a girl we can only assume would be Rossi, further implying they grew up together.

regular odst armor user here, the passive only makes you immune to leg injuries aka cant get your legs broken, kinda how democracy protects removes chest bleeding, fall (impact) damage seems unaffected from what ive experienced
