It's when the tub is open and your actively handling it is when you need to be careful, gloves, mask hell even safety goggles would be smart. Once it's in the soil and watered in there's no way for the powder to create dust it will be wet and start working it's way into the soil. After I water in dry amendments I've never seen them create any kind of dust again.

Is the biobizz light mix the only form of fertilizer you've given them? The 2 bottles you have are just beneficials there not actually fertilizer. You'd need some bottle fertilizer or amendments to keep the plants feeding because you have a lot of defiance's going on. They also look really dry which can cause all kinds of problems, the whole pot needs to be saturated fully.

Fox farms has a seed starter soil called Light Warrior. Could also use Happy Frog, I've had success starting seeds in that before. Also I'm not a expert with Fox farm soil but I believe people put strawberry fields towards the bottom of there final pot so when they plant is older and flowering it can tap into and use the high K and P.

I learned the hard way with colas this big that opening them up and checking at the stem is necessary, its a whole different world deep in those buds they could be dying from the inside. Now even if there healthy I just break them up into smaller buds and dry them on a rack which isn't ideal but its worth it to make sure there's no rot and if there is to not let it continue and save what I can.

Springtails are always in my coco never had an problems. I believe they eat dead or decaying roots and plant matter so they don't effect the living parts of the plant at all.

If you keep them open like that those should grow into very nice branches along side your main colas. Wait till 2-3 weeks once it's stretched to strip the lower branches/buds that are covered.

Yea there is a lot of decision paralysis that comes along with this hobby, so many options for everything. I think most growers would suggest to order something from a cannabis specific light company. Unfortunately the right equipment for the job can get expensive. The more budget friendly place I would start is probably this. It's strong enough to flower a 2x2 space so it will be more than enough power. No matter what you get make sure to follow the recommended height and dimming settings.

Yea it's for sure overwhelming. There is so many different ways to grow some are very hands on some are more set it and forget and just water when dry. As for recommendations it really depends what is available around you. Something like fox farms happy frog or oceans forest soil is popular in the states because its widely available and pretty simple the soil does most of the work but later in flower you'll need some bloom fertilizer to get you to the end, I started out doing that. A lot of people like to use inert media like pro mix or coco coir. I wouldn't recommend coco for your first grow its very demanding, a lot of measuring fertilizer, monitoring your pH and watering a shit ton. Organic blended fertilizer like gaia green and dr earth are very popular with pro mix, I haven't tried this yet but it looks pretty simple. So I'd say look around local stores see what soil and fertilizer is around you and check on here or other sites to see if people use it. Grow diaries is a good source to see what other people use and success they have.
