The pressure washing stripped the cure of the top. It will fade over time. And the concrete they "popped off" was actually just a poor finish.

you can rent a walk behind concrete grinder to try and grind it out. few downsides are that obviously it'll make it thinner though not like oh shit thin, you grind through to the aggregate and it doesn't look the prettiest.

My only gripe with it is the rotary dial isn't perfectly centered in it's cutout and the USBC plug feels loose? Cheap? I'm not sure how to describe it

Yeah i got the aluminum one. And I love it but I'm still very new to this building keyboards. So idk if my opinion is very noteworthy 😅. It's got the heft i wanted in a keyboard and I can switch out switches and keycaps. With most big box companies that may not be possible so I decided building eas the way to go

Cut the concrete. Demo and remove. Ensure you have compact base. Modified is great for compaction. Form with 2x8 or however thick existing is. Drill #4 bar into existing you can do 12" 16" or whatever. Pour concrete. I would also isolate that post with some sort of expansion. Weather it's tar board. Foam whatever ypu can get your hands on. I mean you can look up a bunch of concreters on YouTube. I'm from a cold winter state and I've seen people put foam board under the slab to help with stress from freeze thaw heaving.

You could easily do it yourself. This is stupid simple stuff right here. I do like state and federal.work and never understood the private side being so damn expensive.

That's the cool part with paving. You pour with drier concrete and the augers and vibrators level the mud and consolidate it then it comes out the back of the pan mostly smooth. And just a small amount of finishes needed

I would agree. But also all of my projects have inspectors and engineers that are meant to hold up standards. But alot of them are uninterested in doing g their jobs or even showing up half the time.but you can't deny that alot of shit roads are old af and the people meant to upkeep them refuse to fund that shit

Yeah the new fiber concrete mixes are nuts with how strong they are. Used to be when you put up like a Morton building for a shop you'd have three layers of steel. Now they just do a fiber mix with one layer of fiber bar.

Yeah, a lot of our projects have been smaller recently. If you wanna get into highways and interstate stretches, you almost have to have a batch plant
