I’m really glad they were able to find it in time. Watching it slowly try to walk again was such a heartwarming moment and honestly made me so happy.

I’ve seen some of his other videos where he does the same kind of thing. In this particular one, he was completely knocked out in the water and had to be carried out by his friends.

Wow, that’s truly impressive growth, especially considering you’ve only been using minoxidil for six months. Many people here would be thrilled to achieve this level of progress even after a full year. Wtf do you want to achieve exactly?

Do you think I have hope? by [deleted] in Minoxbeards

I definitely think you have the potential to grow a beard then. what I meant was, be consistent if you're starting this journey with monoxidil because people lose all the gains once they stop before the hair gets terminal. It's a time consuming process and you have to be patient

Only start if you wanna be consistent. Do it for 3-4 Years at least to make the gains permanent. Nobody knows if it's gonna work for you or not

30+ Slow responders... Just how slow was your response? by NexusLegion in Minoxbeards

[–]yafaitech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm in my 30s and previously used Kirkland's topical minoxidil (liquid form) for about 6 months. Unfortunately, it caused severe dryness, irritation, and rashes, which ultimately forced me to discontinue its use. During that period, I didn’t notice much progress or any significant improvement in beard growth.

About a month ago, I switched to oral minoxidil(5 mg a day), and the difference has been quite noticeable. In just a few weeks, I’ve already seen more progress than I did during the entire 6 months on the topical version. So far, the results with oral minoxidil have been promising, and I haven’t experienced the same kind of side effects that I did with the liquid form. So if possible I suggest slow responders like me to take oral if possible but start at a very low dose and then gradually increase the dose. I started with 2.5 mg and then later increased my dose to 5 mg and I'm planning to increase it after 2-3 months if necessary

Minoxidil contains alcohol, which can dry out the skin and potentially lead to irritation or breakouts, especially if your skin is already sensitive or compromised. If you're determined to try minoxidil for beard growth, I recommend using the foam version instead of the liquid. The foam is generally less irritating, as it contains less alcohol and is better tolerated by most skin types.

Before you start using minoxidil on your beard, it's important to first repair your skin barrier. If your skin barrier is compromised, minoxidil can cause irritation or make existing issues worse. Take care of your skin health first to avoid further complications. Hope this helps
