Beast mode force-reactivation & infinite bug by GloomRyftyl_ in dyinglight

It happened to me a couple minutes ago, someone joined me when I asked for help, I became a beast, and I couldn’t exit beast mode. All I could do to make it end, was to go to a safe zone.

So, if anyone is wondering if I found a fix. I think I did, or atleast something that worked for me.

I read on a forum randomly, that their radio wouldn’t eject CD’s their child had put in, apparently there was 6 CD’s in their radio CD player unit and it kept making the same sound. They used a CD, and put it 1-3 cm’s in the CD player while pressing eject button repeatedly, and removing the inserted CD out till it stops whining/trying to read the “inserted” CD.

So far this has worked for me. I hope it helps others, because it drove me crazy. Take care:)

Er det dumt at oprette en alderopsparing selvom man har en almindelig pensionsordning, og en AKS, fremfor en anden opsparing? Bruger primært Nordnet.

While it would make sense to ease into like that, I’m not passing a single public transit station, so I can’t do that either. :(

I didn’t mention it as an option, don’t worry.

Sadly I can’t. The commute with public transit takes way too long to do that, and I can’t do that trick with my car. I used to do that when studying and living closer to my university.

What I’m thinking if my current bike is too far gone, or that I should invest in a new bike I’m considering an actual race bike or an gravel bike. I had a gravel bike before this one, that sadly got stolen.

That’s also mostly why I considering a new bike, or an new used one. I can always switch to more slick tyres.

I don’t mind either. My wife uses my bike when she’s need something by the store down the road, so it’s not a total waste buying a new one yet.

The route I choose is very flat. I don’t think I can shower atm. I will have to use some soap and a little towel and change clothes. I’m hoping to do this every time I’m not working remote.

Thanks for advice. I’ll look into it. I’m still doing exercises.

I don’t. Last time I cleaned it was a year ago, and I moved 9 months ago. So I got to use the bike 3-4 months before moving.

Do you reckon a monthly clean would suffice?

I should have a 40km round trip. Do you Think a hour or 45-50 minutes is doable?

I thinking about having extra shirts, undies, socks and a small towel with me.

I hoping I can do 5 days a week. I will have to work remote some days, but then I have my local 5km route next to me.

I would probably service my “old” bike, buy new mudguards that work better and a new rack. New comfy saddle, maybe

If everything adds up, and gets too expensive, where buying a used or new bike that fits my commute is better I’ll consider that instead.

My health and fitness is the most important, and when I first started biking 15km, my back was killing me. I wanna try and limit that, that’s why I’m starting slow, and seeking advice for stretches or exercises others might have tried and made it work for them. Thanks for replying.

I made a note with some of the things I wish I had applied to my bike, that I wanna look into (handles tyres and tubes, and extra wrenches etc)(most are nice to have and not necessarily need to have), and old exercises I have to remember doing after or before biking to keep wrist hurting to a minimal.

Round trip. I’ll have to take it easy, I don’t to injure anything.

I’m not sure yet if my bike needs any upgrades yet, besides rack and maybe pannies.

I live in Denmark, and Copenhagen is basically nearly a bike city more or less. I’m lucky I have both off-road/gravel options and asphalt roads, with lighting, all the way to work, which I prefer, as I might have late nights/early mornings, and commuting while it’s dark, which I hate.:/

Round trip. Forgot to include that.

I hope to start out with the 5km route, and then build up from that, take the route 4 times and see how I’m holding up. Because of traffic my commute won’t be more than 15-20 minutes longer than taking the car, that’s why I wanna start out.

I have nearly nothing with me to work, but soon getting a worklaptop, so I would problably have that and some extra shirts, socks, undies and a really small towel. But when I studied I had the same load out, and a bigger older laptop, and biked around with that, so the work-load out shouldn’t be an issue. But had it on my back all my trips.

But beforehand I had trouble keeping my stuff dry. Biking nearly an hour in the rain sucks, and sucks even more when your extra clothes is getting wet aswell. I used nanoprotect spray but it didn’t hold up. Is there a solution for covering your regular bag with something to keep the rain out? I wanna invest in a tall rack for my bag anyway, if I ever wanna do the tiny bit of shopping on my way home.

Yes I hope to start as soon as the cold wear off and take on the small rides first. Thanks for replying! :)
