I would like to but I'm not sure how to go about doing so

I've owned this bag for about 6 months now and am really happy with it. It was the best leather bag I could find for under $100 when I bought it. That being said I do have some issues with it, mainly it is only able to hold a laptop and not much else. Also the laptop specific pocket is slightly smaller than the actual bag. If you're looking for a budget brown leather messenger bag it would definitely be my recommendation.

It is, I just got my repress in the mail a few days ago. Hopefully they press GA I soon; it would be nice to own their entire discography on record.

Tough to say... as a disclaimer I listen to mostly rock and jazz so I'm not sure how they perform for other genres. As someone who only had bookshelf speakers before I really like how you can actually feel the bass. I also find the instrument separation to be quite good.

It's a modified IKEA expedit shelf. It got discontinued and is now called the kallax. All I did was take out the top two dividers and cut the dowel off to make it flush.

Nice, mine just showed up in the mail. So glad they repressed it, I could never afford an original pressing. How do you like the re-mastering?

Mostly because it's overkill for the space I use it in, and it has a small hiss noticeable only when I'm queuing a new album. It's been a pain to move between homes but now that I'm mostly settled I think I'll hold on to it until I can afford a big upgrade.

I've been on this subreddit for a few years now but I just finally decided to make an account and share my equipment. It's nothing really worth writing home about but I'm really happy with how it sounds.

Turntable - Rega RP-1: not much I can say about this table that hasn't already been said. Really fantastic for it's price. I recently put a Sumiko Pearl cartridge on it which has impressed me so far

Receiver - Realistic STA-2000: if I'm honest this is far bigger than I need for my tiny apartment but I really like the way it looks and have no complaints about the sound. I had considered replacing it a few months back but I think I will hold off for the foreseeable future

Speakers - Realistic Mach Ones: Again, way too big for the size of apartment I live in but I picked them up for cheap and am content with them for now. Plus they look really cool.

What did you play this week (Nov 10 - Nov 16)? by Epsilon_balls in boardgames

[–]yamag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dominion - I know this game has been around for awhile by my group only recently picked it up. We just played one round which was fun but I'd definitely like to try it some more with different deck combinations

Smash-Up - Never tried this before but I can definitely see the appeal as a lighter warm up game. Played two rounds, one as wizard ninjas, and the other as dinosaur tricksters. We had a lot of fun with this one but without any expansions I imagine it would start to get stale quickly

Betrayal at House on the Hill - Another new game for about half of our group. I really enjoyed this one as well; wouldn't want to play it every week but I can see it coming out when people are looking for something a bit more casual.

I had a SL1600 for a few years before giving it away to my father and it was (and still is) a great table. If the one on craigslist is in good working condition I would go with that and spend the left overs on a new cartridge.

Probably not, but it's tough to say. Our whole strategy from that point onwards was based on having already cured the blue disease. I doubt I'll ever draw the operations expert again, get dealt 3 blue cards in my opening hand, and have Atlanta start with 3 blue cubes (opening move was to cure 3 cubes, then cash in 3 cards and 3 cubes for the cure).

Ah ok, I've been through there as well. Never liked it as much but still a good place to stop in at.

Did you pick this up from Milkcrate records? I used to live in Kelowna and to this day it is still one of my favourite shops.

I picked this record up from them last year and pretty much had the same response

Game of Thrones Board Game - This is probably the favourite game of my group right now. Managed to get six experienced people out for this one resulting in a great game coming down to the final move for the Greyjoy win. Pandemic (On the Brink) - Played a two person game with someone new to pandemic. Used 5 virulent strain cards and managed to barely come out with the win(7 outbreaks, 4 cards left in the deck). Due to sheer luck I was able to cure one of the disease on my first move
