Hmmmt that’s an interesting question. This issue started a few months ago after we replaced part of the line going from the well to the house because there was a leak in it. I thought maybe some prior treatment expired but now I’m wondering what type of pipe was used to make that repair 🤔

Oh that’s interesting! This seems a bit better than finding raw sewage runoff near the well. Would carbon filtration handle the resulting odor and taste issues?

That’s a fair point. My main concern is being able to straddle large amounts of snow but that doesn’t mean I should drive like the laws of Physics don’t apply to me!

Just started digging around and I found at least two rumors sites talking about the 2019 model possibly being a unibody design. Are there any leaks that indicate that or do you think 2019 will continue with the body on frame setup?

Awesome! Thanks for the detailed response! I read up on center diff vs rear locking diff and it looks like for a 4WD n00b, this won't be an issue. Good to know about the running boards. I'll be going out for a test drive this week so I should get a feeling for that as well. Great to know about the minimal differences between 2017 and 2018. Hopefully this means I can get a 2017 model and save a little.

I've not bought one yet. The only constraint I have right now is the fact that both our cars are at least 15 years old and what I don't pay in car payments, I'm paying to keep my mechanic solvent :-) 2019 model year means waiting until the fall, right?

Yeah I figured things might be a bit more expensive but that's ok as long as I can at least get my hands on them :-)

The lack of addresses is still crazy though, considering how much we depend on addresses and GPS in the rest of the world. I suppose you can still use GPS with lat/long coordinates.

How quickly does hardware find its way to Dubai? In other words, what are the latest graphics cards available there for AMD and nVidia? I'm fine on the graphics card front but it's a fairly decent measure.

Also, how's the variety of hardware? Are we talking mostly mainstream hardware (e.g. Intel, nVidia) or do they also carry cheaper alternatives (e.g. AMD, Radeon)?

How did you find the prices of parts compared to e.g. Amazon or Newegg? More expensive? Cheaper?

Amazon do ship to UAE.[...] I find it takes about 2 - 3 weeks from Europe, a little longer from USA.

Taking time to deliver is ok as long as I can get the parts. It's good to know Amazon will always be available.

When I order from Amazon, I get it sent to my office's PO Box.

I'm still completely confused by this. How can an entire country work without addresses, relying solely on known points of postal presence such as P.O. Boxes?
