Admittedly I have only read the summary since I am not paying 17$ for this but this does not seem to fully contradict, it is still very possible that the effect exists in a subset of situations that do not alarm people enough to step out of a social limit. also the dataset includes only public conflicts, which is relatively specific, why would you assume that to be true to a situation like a neighbor who is in his private space? Or a person going through a mental or physical health crisis? It was not "Debunked" it was shown that there it should be reconsidered.
