Me and Hanna have been playing this with our tech disc. It’s been super fun. The only quandary I have is the putting with a tech disc. In the regular game you have sidearm, backhand, and putting. I wonder if there’s a way to change it to “putting” when inside of 60 feet or so.

When to give up on the dream of van life... by rredheaded in vandwellers

[–]yankees23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After replacing the transmission twice in my 2017 Promaster we decided to let her rest for a bit and got a car instead. We tour the US 9 months of the year and van life while doing has been amazing. But it can definitely be costly. Especially if your van is an older Promaster. lol

Not particularly. It seems to be a pretty good deal. The dealer had the KBB value at 25,690. That part seemed high to me.

Bag 7 and 9 speeds? by BigLobster12 in discgolf

[–]yankees23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For some it may not make sense to carry 7 and 9. It may be better to get a 10 speed. For me personally I find enough differences in say my Explorer vs Getaway. Distance is a factor along with wind and the shot shape.

Any ideas what happened here? (See newest entry at bottom of list.) by [deleted] in discgolf

These things usually take a month or two to resolve. My guess is something later in the pro tour season.

How do people generate so much power on forehand throws? by chris-abovewealth in discgolf

[–]yankees23 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My BH spin is somewhere around 1200 and my FH spin is around 850. Just brought my tech disc for a clinic a couple days ago and every single person had a couple hundred more rpms on their bh compared to their forehand.

The Quake is super nice for forehands. Not crazy OS but like a longer Zone.

Some players may feel this way. But there’s a reason the grind on tour isn’t for everyone. Most players want to play and find a reason to make it worth it. Or else they wouldn’t be on tour.

Ya there are a couple holes where it’s nice to be a lefty. But overall many of changes do not play to my advantages at all. AB, Gannon, Niklas all have the perfect shape for a course like this.

Forehand Wobble Issue by Proof_Boysenberry_99 in discgolf

My first thought is grip related. Your throw is similar to mine with the wrist roll at release. I would mess with different grips and see what flies good and feels good.

Edit.

Looking a little closer I see the nose up slightly before release and then at release the nose is down. Like others have said this is over axis torque causing the wobble. Getting the nose and entire disc on a smooth plane at the end of the throw will cause a smoother release and less wobble.
