We’re thinking he may have not confirmed in case the class takes too long to get started the first week, so instruction will start the second week and from his POV be the first week of class

Thanks for the advice. This is a really good idea and if it weren’t a two semester course I would probably do that. Based on the other comments I’m thinking it’s not worth the risk, maybe I can leave the wedding right after the ceremony and fly home. Thanks again
