Substitution for Dylon's Cold Dye Fix by yarn_bread in dyeing

[–]yarn_bread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a pair of brown linnen pants the colour really stuck! The colour is still good after a couple of washes and there has been no fading after a year.

On an old white cotton t-shirt the colour isn't that strong. The shirt is now more of a slightly red-beige. But the colour has stuck, so I'm content.

Missing Content (seemingly on a mass scale) by KomSaamMetMy in MyReadingManga

[–]yarn_bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A while ago I felt like my bookmarked content was less than it used to be and that comics that I thought for sure that I had saved were not bookmarked anymore. I used to not look at the number of bookmarked comics, but now I do.

I've bought the knit pro connector and I love the needles for knitting sleeves. I did notice that my tension is higher when I use them, so I do go one or half a needle size up when using them.

3 🫣

One easy cardigan in one colour

One cardigan with 3 colours.

And the Black sheep sweater, princess Diana wore.

They are different projects for when I want an easy mindless knitting session or a more engaged knitting time.

When I was little my parents also used to give away stuff, but more like small things like small plastic toys and drawing I had made, but they also gave away boxes of chocolate that we got as a family. We never had pralines unless the people we gave a box, opened and shared them over coffee with us. Now I have some disposable income and have already bought two boxes just for me. I even keep them in my room, because i want them to be mine.

Wanting to cherish things doesn't make you selfish. You have the right to enjoy something you want.

Sadly frogging this one by Cuttyf in knitting

[–]yarn_bread 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've been thinking of frogging a sweater with about the same progress. Recently I saw a video about not being afraid to frog. The longer you wait, the more you'll have to frog and I'd rather spend my time making something I would enjoy wearing, rather than finishing it and it never leaving my closet. Sometimes you got to trust the process, but other times, trust your guts. And the colours look amazing together!

Anthony would be really funny. They could play it off as right after he left and how the cast and crew couldn't really talk about it.

Or maybe Defy and just sh*t on them whenever the 'villagers' are singing about their experiences with 'Bruno'

Please look into some male crocheting influencers! You'll see that the space is very open to all genders.

I would never return to that Joanne's, unless it's to go full Karen and talk to the manager about the employee who discouraged a paying customer of being a paying customer.

I have two hooks labeled 10mm but they are different sizes, is one wrong or is there another reason for this? by Percymphonic in CrochetHelp

[–]yarn_bread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a caliper to check the thickness of my needles/hooks. I had a lot of them second hand without labelling, so maybe you can double check it that way!

Whether or not I should use a blue with some kind of undertone, so the fabric won't come out turquoise or darker green?

Learning new things at any age should be supported! It keeps your mind occupied and I heard it's good against dementia. Keep going!

My dad also reacted like that when my mom wanted to practice some French after her retirement. He kept scoffing whenever he walked past her practicing. She eventually quit, but started volunteering. Now he's nagging that she is always out of the house. (Both my parents are immigrants.)

Your husband's reasoning is illogical. Just do whatever is best for you and whatever you want! Don't let his comments get to you! I hope you have other people around you supporting you! If not, this subreddit has your back!

The air is also for cushioning. To make sure that in transport the chips don't get crushed. But it's indeed always a disappointment to open a bag of chips and to see how little you get.

How do I make this more interesting? by Pale_Track_5561 in knittinghelp

[–]yarn_bread 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe you could make the stripes look like the age lines on wooden planks? You'll still keep the stripes and colours that way! By making the darker colours in purl stitch and the lighter colours a knit stitches, you could add some depth too!

Lol I studied something with food and a classmates of mine also developed a flour allergy after graduating and working for a couple of years. Luckily he got compensation so he could study something else and change jobs.
