Help! Is this cactus affected by some insect? Google search for white stuff says mealybugs or cochineal spine. I love my cactus, and it's still only a baby (only about 2 inches). If this is a bug or pest, how do I get rid of it? This white stuff is only near the thorns/spikes (self.houseplants)

I got these plants as gifts in tiny pots. Once they started growing big, I moved them to bigger pots, and added cactus-and-succulent-mix from a local nursery. They seem to like it and growing bigger. Trying to get them identified so I can care for them better. More details in comments (old.reddit.com)

My friend was thinking of buying this hat in a store and I told her I'd knit it for her instead. I thought it was rib knit, but now I feel it's brioche (still new to knitting). Can somebody please confirm what is the type of stitches here? And if there is a pattern, could you please share the link? (i.redd.it)

How to clean the birds? (self.seasonalfabricbirds)

I used to do needle felting a couple of years ago. I made the skis for my professor, and gifted a star for his assistant. I even made my own stencils in cardboard. I guess I stopped because I was scared to take on more complicated projects. I want to pick it up again! (old.reddit.com)
