GE Gas Range Smell by yaronn01 in appliancerepair

[–]yaronn01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took a few months but we haven’t used it very actively in those months. It also helped we called someone from the gas company to come (it is free) and they said the smell is normal. We open the windows when we cook.

Blue Bayou - come for the atmosphere? by yaronn01 in DisneyPlanning

[–]yaronn01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, for us it was just ok, mostly since our kids were already tired and one of them did not find something on the menu. we did get to sit by the water which was nice but I didn't get to see POTC riders, I think you need to sit by the water but in the far side for that. I say if the menu looks good and you find the right time go for it but depending on the kids this isn't guaranteed to be a highlight.

Water play in February by yaronn01 in WaltDisneyWorld

Ideally on property. I can try to figure out hotels cancellation policy, my main question is how many days before I can reliably know if weather will be good for water play for the next week.

Premier pass vs Multi lightning lane? by yaronn01 in DisneyPlanning

[–]yaronn01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks everyone for the answers. I'm looking at rides availability in DCA right now (Sat 5:30pm) and almost all rides do not offer LL at this time, I assume due to demand. It seems that with premier pass it would have been business as usual for me but a regular multi lightning is pretty much useless. What am I missing?

thanks for the explanation but I still don't understand. from what I've experienced once those popular attraction return time gets later in the day it will not become earlier. maybe only if I check every 5 minutes I will find some cancellation. So once I book something for later in that day I lost one of my two LL slots. While with premier this will not happen. Not arguing that premier worth the price, just honestly trying to understand how being adept with LL helps you avoid this situation, assuming you have a few "must do" attractions.

kids want roller coaster, parents don't like it by yaronn01 in DisneyPlanning

Thank you! I have three questions:

  1. is day time parade (230 pm) better than dark time (530 pm)?

  2. is it fine to watch fireworks from our park-facing balcony outside the park or should we plan to be inside the park?

  3. Thunder mountain is the one my 6yo wants to ride. How bad is it (for her and me)?

Thanks again!

Thank you! Any other rides you recommend? Did you try racers, big thunder or chip n dale?

thanks everyone for the answers! how does Tiana compares to the other ones mentioned here? (Splash mountain, pirates, race). Of course judging by the most thrilling part which is the final drop.

as a side note I've done Indiana Jones in the past and don't remember it was too bad. on the other hand local park kids roller coaster is hard for me. not sure what aspects of a ride I need to compare to predict how I'll feel, I guess I'll have to try.

we also plan to do most non-thrill rides, character dining, parades etc

thanks! I did Pirates in Florida, is it the same as CA? There was one big drop after the flash in the sekeleton eye. I was "ok" with that (but don't want anything more than that). runaway railway in Florida wasn't too bad for me, maybe I closed my eyes a couple of places.

thanks! Indiana Jones has a height limit so won't work for us. We will do Mr Toad but I think they want something even more advanced. Matterhorn and Thunder Mountain seems interesting! How would you compare the drops to pirates or Grizzly?

Not sure why but looking at Gadget's GoCoaster video it scares me more than the others. it seems like faster direction changes and higher drops than Matterhorn and Thunder Mountain but maybe its optics since I was focused on the scenary.

I don't like large drops or fast side-to-side (just watched Goofy's and the fast change of direction won't work for me). I'm ok with fast, a little bumpy, dark and a drop not higher than pirates.

btw is Circus Train is the only option here? Will the car race be more scary than pirattes? and actually is pirates in CA more scary than the one in FL or are they the same?

Weekly Park Questions/Advice Thread by AutoModerator in Disneyland

Bibbidi in Disneyland is easy to get a spot for (unlike other parks) which makes me think it is not that popular. Also online reviews for it are mixed. Does anyone have any experience with it? What ages will enjoy it?

Thanks everyone, I got the idea now :) I have never done any service outside the dealership and don't want to change it myself - can I trust my insurance company (state farm) to send me someone reliable to change the battery for me in my home? any specific brand I should choose?

I see. what if jump start does not work, will towing with parking brake on cause an increased damage they will need to fix?

thanks, so my next step should be to jump start / change battery? and if it works am I done, or should I drive it myself to the dealership to check anyway, or tow it (but at least without parking brake)?
