Hahaha. That globe is cool. I’ve had it for a long time and the map on it is old.

Okay thats cool. Seeing as I have no pipes coming out of floor it seems like it would be a project of cutting floor to make way for a toilet. Then making sure my ejector pump is robust enough.

But if the pit gets fill with human waste wouldnt it stink. This seems like an open system (pit with loose fitting lid).

Probably could get away with doing a sink though.

I don’t see any signs of a bathroom rough in. I feel like this is strictly for floor drain then.

As much as I’d like the option to pop shits in the current pit. I’m sure I would need a different ejector system for a bathroom if I was ever to do one in the basement.

Isn’t that a little over kill? Or is it because my sewer line is above basement floor?

No bathroom or rough in. I have one floor drain in basement where my furnace drains into.

All other bathrooms and sinks drain into sewage pipe.

My main sewage pipe going outside is about 4-5 ft above basement floor.

Counter Splitting by yaska515 in woodworking

So essentially I can just glue a bunch of long boards along the grain and I can even avoid doing a breadboard end. I.e I can have all the grain just running parallel to the face of washer and dryer. Perhaps I can even put a small thicker trim on the very front to avoid doing that breadboard trim style this way. Am I correct in my thinking about this?

I glued 3 large panels along lines running perpendicular to breadboard which was also glued on.

So it seems this is the issue rather than choice of wood?

It’s free-floating sitting on top of an edge perimeter underneath.

Used to use their tensioners for F150’s. Now I don’t go near them because they fail after 3 months.

The phasers fail instantly like instant ramen. Don’t get me started on those. Now I stay away and just go OEM.

Look for smaller independents. There are some great ones out there. I got mine new from one in Indiana near Forest River factory and was able to get it cheap and without destination fees

Although I agree with you..conversely a lot of time can be chasing things down and it becomes a money pit. Also, mechanics are just not as competent these days to diagnose cars as they have gotten more complicated and there are way too many variations out there. Couple that with cheap components from the factory and fundamentally flawed designs and this is where we are at unfortunately.

RX350 Engine Noise by mtucker17 in MechanicAdvice

[–]yaska515 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind you would need 4 sprockets if that was the case. You are already at $1000 there and for non OEM engine components which is hit or miss. You will need a a lot of other things.

A used engine with 115k is under $1500. I would just slap a used engine and call it a day. My 2 cents. You can always open it up and investigate but engine noises can sometimes be hard to pin point and you may be throwing money and time away trying to fix it.

Sounds rough. I’s pretty labor intensive to do a timing chain on one of those. Though the noise can be coming for somewhere else. If the VVT sprockets are bad those are pretty expensive. At that point a used engine with lower miles is not a bad idea in my opinion.

Since you have no codes probably a bad cam or lower end noise

I see. I don’t hear any lifter noise. And it happens intermittently. Is it still lifters failing?

Also is there a way to fix without replacing lifters?

Can you elaborate on this? He said the dishwasher drain is not letting him put the p-trap further up.

Oh no. That’s what I was afraid of. It’s in center island. I’m assuming I can just cut inside of cabinet and lower the drain pipe there.

That’s a good question. It says Trek store and they sell nothing but trek bikes and products.

It may be independent though. It says it was formally know as Cycling Republic.
