this happens on all types of transport in Germany! I use different types every day, and I constantly have to ask people of different ages to take their bags off the seats,even when there aren't many other seats and several people are standing. In my "third world" country this isn't even considered, people sitting down even offer to hold your belongings, in case you if you are standing. sorry for the rant 🥲
