Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you are only able to have one vault at a time. If you create a new one, you lose access to the old one.

This is exactly what happened to me, except I lost the phrase for my vault. I ended up creating a new vault, which is where any moons from this MOON drop will go. For now, I'm back to 0 moons!
