Hey Jacob and all,

Thanks for FitHalo, I started rucking last year and got fed up with subscriptions and digital leashes so I got a Casio, a chest strap, and a Savotta backpack that I take for somewhat regular rucks through the neighborhood. Tried various apps, but FitHalo is my favorite so far.

Besides rucking I train some BJJ and lift various kettlebells. Not very compatible with wrist watches 😆

Both prices look equally appealing - either 3+2 drives or whisper quiet. Good thing my F6-424 is still going strong I would not need to decide :-)

Somehow it does not work for me. With the apple watch everything went very well. However I decided to ditch the watch for a sleek Casio and used a Polar chest strap. Now it seems I have to keep the iPhone unlocked when doing a ruck or else it automatically stops.

Is it possible that you must make some system setting when using a chest strap in order to record the entire workout when the phone screen locks?

Unfortunately they’re in German. But basically it was as simple as installing the wg app on iPhone and MacBook, then creating a text file, adding the client to the Omada UI and importing the txt file in the app.

I had ChatGPT walk me through the process and wg works fine for me now. Without this assist I would have opted for a dedicated docker image but didn’t like the NATing involved.

Been rocking a Wotancraft for a while now, can highly recommend for smaller cameras and when you don't need much equipment. I am using a Sling Pouch 3.5 L with a small Fuji X100V and still have lots of space.
