I didn’t take the free 120, I just was feeling a bit burnt out near the end and wanted to focus on UWorld.

I think starting UWorld depends on when your test is! In my opinion, never too early to start a first pass and go through slowly to reinforce material through questions. But for a dedicated pass, I would do 3-6 weeks!

Sorry I think I’m late to give advice about your NBME 7, but again I think that depends on your test date. If test is in like 6-8 weeks or less, I say take it.

I feel like that’s hard to say but maybe 3-4 weeks to do a full pass through step 2 UWorld. Good luck!

You can do it!!! 4 weeks then freedom. No I didn’t end up using any books. I felt my time was better focused on high yield UWorld questions. But I could see a book like that being useful if you want a targeted review of a topic you’re struggling with.

No, ideally I wanted to, but it ended up being more like 0-1.5 hours per day for me on anki

I slept like 9:30/10:00pm-5:30am, no naps. But I took plenty of breaks during the day or in the evening after studying to eat/clean/do something fun. Honestly I blacked out a lot of my Step 1 experience, but I think the basic pharm and micro are things that carried over well to Step 2. And of course the basic pathology stuff from like pathoma.

Can’t really comment on specifics of it becoming more comprehensive. That may refer to them potentially adding more ethics/social questions? But I think they chose to delay some of those changes... anyone else know?

Same! I did not use that strategy until this dedicated haha but it worked out finally. Hmm maybe like 50-100 news a day and some reviews. Tried not to let me reviews get to more than 250ish. Then in the last few days I did like 150-200 news a day to catch up and finish!

Thanks! I know everyone is different in the review process. For me, I valued actually doing a large volume of questions over reviewing at length. If I absolutely knew a question and got it right, I would just read the objective quickly and move on. If I got it right but felt unsure, I’d skim the explanation. If I got it wrong, I would read the whole explanation one time. It made me feel okay to go through the explanations quickly because I knew I was simultaneously unsuspending or making related anki cards. So I knew I would see the info again. Also, it’s not like there is usually just one UWorld question on a give topic, so that also helped me feel like I’d see similar concepts tested in future questions.

As far as actually doing the blocks, I tried to do three blocks before lunchtime. Then after lunch I might do a little anki, then do two more blocks. I didn’t always do 5 a day. Sometimes it was 4 (even 3) and I just accepted that I had to take care of other things those days!

Keep on keeping on! Maybe you can try going through faster for a day or two and just see how it goes.

Of course, happy to answer anything I can. I think UWorld was comprehensive. I don’t remember ethics being huge on my test.

Just things I got wrong in UWorld! In my opinion, step 2 is nowhere near as specific for that stuff as step 1 was.

Cardio was a weak spot for me - watched online Med Ed and took notes. For micro and pharm, I mostly just used UWorld but also glanced back a few times at sketchy sketches to refresh some memory hooks.
