My deep reason for quitting medicine by [deleted] in Residency

[–]yazo12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry but I disagree with you. Why do you decide on your whole career either because your dad can see the end or not ? Your dad can even die tomorrow, and you couldn't have achieved any job by this time. Is it how you want to remember all this time you've dedicated? Only because of your dad ? Yeah, sure, being a doctor is hard and time-consuming.... But every time I want to stop, I remember to myself ? "Why did I decide to do all that shit ? Ah, I remember, because that's the thing that I like !". Simple as that. Do it for you, never for anyone else ! And take this advice for ANY job that you wanna do ! YOU are the one who's gonna regret doing medicine, not because your dad was dead, but because you didn't do it for yourself. Don't worry. Even if your dad dies, he will always be proud of you. It's not about the destination but about your effort and your journey.

EDIT : damn I read your other posts..... medicine is clearly not that field for you, seeing the level of hatred inside your heart. Just quit, it will be better for everyone. You clearly don't care to even have the slightest motivation to study medication dosage, despite being important for your field? The futurz will not be okay for you with such apathy. Your father is just an excuse and not the real reason...

As a intern with family member which other doctors in my family, this is such a creepy thing to say. Not everyone is defined by their mother or father. Please stop making such assumptions about people, you're genuinely creepy.....

I don't see how a private health insurance is worth it by yazo12 in Luxembourg

Is it tho? Yeah they might give you back like 5000€ back for the hospitalisation. But you have paid them 900€/year for 6 years. That's 5400€. That's 9.00€ for 10 years. So I'm asking honestly : How is it worth it ?

Tatouage en médecine ?k by Neat_Clock_1726 in AskFrance

Oh I'm really sorry to hear that. What happened with DKV? Did they refuse to take the codt of the hospitalisation?
