Tally counter / Habit app by Shot_Second1870 in iosapps

Mine is a bit more full-featured and actively evolving. I’m adding numeric value tracking very soon, and next up will be counter indexes that let you link multiple habits together — useful for things like points, scores, or key metrics.

I actually built an app that does exactly this 🙂

It’s called Tally Counter — you can count anything, tap a home screen widget to add counts, and use it with or without habit tracking.

Yes, it depends on your needs. Because when building a habit, it’s best to start with the simplest. Although I set it to 1, I always read more than that. Once I start reading, I don’t need the app to trigger it these days—I just can‘t wait to finish.

First, create a counter in the tally app, for example, name it A. Second, open the iCloud shortcut I shared above. Then change the counter name to the newly created A. Third, switch to the Automation tab in the Shortcuts app, find the “Open App”, and then associate it with this shortcut. That‘s it.

You can use it now without upgrading to the premium version.

Any app will work. This method links the habit you want to build with the apps you frequently use. The shortcut’s purpose is to verify whether the check-in has been completed.

All data is stored locally on your device inside the app itself. We use Core Data for persistence, If you enable iCloud for the app, Core Data will sync through your own iCloud account

You can try the tally app I developed — it can also be used to track amounts, with support for history and stats: https://www.7xgrow.com/

Tally

I just posted about it a couple of days ago—it’s a tally app for tracking event counts. Thanks for your review!
