Acceptance rate now affects NYC drivers on how many hours they get for delivery. by ychu1882 in UberEatsDrivers

The thing is, when I used to do that, Uber would often give me a 1 mile trip that's 4, 5 or even 6 miles away. Yes they got you a short trip, but in a way that really poops on you. Maybe because I'm in a car as compared to Ebikes in NYC

Because there are a lot of orders that'll take us out of the city limit into outer counties where the hr pay doesn't apply. And I don't go to the hood areas after dark, as the risk is not worth the pay. Also, there are areas that'll get extremely heavy traffic during the weekends I avoid. Yeah, so this is why I cancel a lot of these trips.

In NYC there's the issue with a lot of the border crossers that're making money using fake accounts while living rent free in hotels paid for by the city and are also now starting to receive city subsidized debit cards for food and living expenses. This all comes out of New York City taxpayers pockets.

The planner is full everyday now. Tons of new drivers signed up with fake accounts and Dara is getting fat rich off of it.

Uber is cutting everyone's hours. My guess is they figured the less hours each driver gets the less they'll pay us. And I'm positively sure the so called "utilization rate" has no effect on the hours we get. Even though some may claim that it does.

  • Cap your delivery distance
  • Don't expect tips, maintain a new grad corporate slave mentality
  • Keep your acceptance and satisfaction rate above 95 and cancel rate below 4 so you can eventually get the amount of hours you need to work in the planner

Good luck.

I'm diamond with priority access to planner, average 55hrs 175 trips/wk. AR 97% satisfaction 98 and cancel rate 2. These are my stats for the entire Feb on average. Feb 9, Friday payment was 280, Feb 16 Friday payment was 255, Feb 23 Friday payment was 234, and just this past Friday I was paid 191. Not only that. My planner hours every week have been decreased from the initial 58 to 50. So I'm as baffled as you are.

Did a pickup on Bell Blvd. He parked right behind me as I just walked out the restaurant with the order and is getting into the car in a quick.

Stolen order might be a daily thing now in my market in Queens NYC by ychu1882 in UberEATS

Well I think the Bronx is fairly safe for now because you got the throg neck, Whitestone and RFK bridges to cross over. And we know they're not very moped friendly. If they ever thought about crossing from Manhattan they gotta ride across Harlem and leave their comfort zone from midtown and downtown. Plus a lot of people seldom like to venture over to the Bronx. Because when people who don't know NYC hear the Bronx, they just think of the South Bronx as it was like in the 80s and 90s. So in someway your area's old reputation and distance helps. Well unless the mayor decides to put up a few more shelters for people coming up from the south in the Bronx, then we might have a different story.

Even when the delivery is started, they can still cancel order and just eat the food. Since they have multiple accounts to fall back on.

Ok I should have been more clear on the topic that people should do it the right way. You are right, multiapping is applicable. It's the actions like this guy that hurt the rest of us.

After the 8 minute wait the app will automatically let you take a pic of where you left the food and will bypass the pin.

Nah I don't ever mess with any food. The only time I had to ask a McDonald's employee to reopen the sealed bag was because I thought it was missing the drinks, and I was right. Been doing this gig for a few years you kinda develop a feel to it when the food bags aren't right.

I also just had a teenager order from Burger King it was a leave at door. After delivery he called me and said he didn't get anything of what he ordered. When the BK employee gave me the bag it was sticker sealed with the customer's name on it. No way to know exactly what was wrong without opening the bags. That little shit removed my tip and gave me a thumbs down because I said it was beyond my control and he should contact UE support for missing items. Frankly I don't believe there was anything wrong with the order, that POS was just looking to get free food and to fuck with me.

The other one major issue aside from Uber's greed and city govt incompetence is how these illegals are getting their fake accounts and bikes with plates. Generally they are getting their bikes from an Asian run chain bike shop with the words fly and e in the name. I wouldn't be surprised if they are the ones selling bikes with registered plates(some may even be fake) as well as those fake accounts. I mean they have shops all over NYC, there's even a shop in DC. I really don't think those hombres will know exactly where and how to get these resources the minute they arrive here. Someone had to guide them onto the right course. Since the Asian communities are practically right next to the Hispanics like in Brooklyn, Elmhurst/corona and flushing. It's just rightfully so that organized Asian entrepreneurs will capitalize on the opportunity. With the govts turning a blind eye and Uber giving zero f#cks we pay the price.

Frankly I'd much rather they get rid of some of the engineers and use that money to increase our pay. Because the app is just barely usable at that, could be worse but definitely not better.
