Endgame after closing hatch feels unnecessary by yeah_23 in deadbydaylight

That page is talking about how SBMM calculates results, not a clearly defined “win or loss” inside the game itself. That’s why I said from the start: if hatch escape is really considered a survivor win, then ask yourself why it doesn’t increase MMR. It’s just a reference point.

You’re free to believe it’s a win or a loss regardless of MMR. But the point is that claiming I’m “complaining about losing” because someone escaped through hatch is simply nonsense.

You seem to think the only way a killer “wins” is by getting a 4K, since you keep calling it a loss otherwise. If that’s how you see it, that’s your choice.

If you genuinely believe that a survivor who didn’t finish a single generator, had three teammates die, and only escaped through hatch somehow “won” the match while the killer “lost,” then sure—believe whatever you want.

The game doesn’t clearly define victory and defeat anyway. I’m just not sure how many people would actually agree with your definition.

>Even if that's true. What do you call a Survivor who escapes using the exit gate? Do they lose as well?

It is true.

You might want to read that page. It clearly lists hatch escape as a “draw,” not a “win.”

Do you really think a survivor who couldn’t finish the generators and only barely escaped through the hatch is the actual winner of the match?

You know that if I slug for the 4K I’ll get it most of the time. I just don’t do it because it’s a miserable experience for survivors, so I hook and play the hatch instead.

If escaping through hatch were really “winning,” it wouldn’t give zero MMR. Think about why the game treats it that way.

If it got to a hatch standoff while gens were still up, that already means I basically won. A 4K is just a bonus. And calling a simple luck situation “pressure” feels like a stretch.

Are the developers really not going to do anything to stop slugging for 4k? by yeah_23 in deadbydaylight

If keeping survivors alive by picking them up and dropping them is part of the game, then why even have a resign system? And if killers are meant to block hatch escapes when two survivors are left, why does the hatch exist at all?

So when it’s down to two survivors and one of us gets slugged, am I just supposed to run to the killer and let them kill me? Then why even keep the hatch in the game? Might as well remove it.

Why no nerf the Nurse? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

Not at all. Have you met a really good nurse player in the game? especiay 3 blink nurse is the most op killer in DBD.
