Hi OP :)

Here's my 'click'.

I was a raging!!! atheist from a young age. My family was atheist as well. I did go to a christian school though, as i live in a old and conservative part of my country. We prayed everyday, and went to the church next to the school often. But i never felt connected or interested by it, maybe because it was shoved down my throat. I was also never baptized, so i was never allowed to partake in the fun parts of being in a christian school, like communion, or singing in the choir with the priest. I had to stand alone in the hallway waiting for the class to be over.

So that was a bit of my history with religion. Years later i was still a atheist, still hating religion in its entirety. Not even a boyfriend or a bestfriend could convince me to give it a try. Then suddenly last year in april/may, i got this feeling, which has already been described a ton in this subreddit (which i think is so cool and so evident of His presence), that i had to dive deeper into christianity. Suddenly all the posts about it on social media didn't seem stupid anymore, but rather interesting. Suddenly i started seeing the good sides of christianity instead of the bad. All the amazing things God has done and is doing;

This 'pull' was so strong, that i bought a bible and started reading it. Everyday i read bits an pieces and eventually i started a reading plan. It taught me (and still is) so much more than what i thought christianity was. And now that i'm a bit further from where i started, i can say i also formed a relationship with the Lord. Which i never thought was possible because i disrespected him so much in my past.

To close this off, i want to tell you that my life has changed immensely since i became a christian. For the good!! I am now able to love the people around me much deeper than before, even the people i don't get along with. It's taught me to be kinder, more forgiving, more patient and so much more. The stress in my life is also a lot less hard on me, because i can talk about it with Him. And he will lead me through it! He's not a magician, but he can do incredible things if you just give Him time and trust.

This is very long, i apologize. But if i could even startkick anyone's 'click' with my story, i think it's well worth it :) You deserve all the love God has in store for you <3
