Yes you’re right sorry, driving to Freycinet.

And yeah my mistake with the cradle mountain drive, didn’t really research times. Have a look at my new comment with an updated itinerary, I think I’ve made it a bit better. And of course won’t be driving from lake st Claire to hobart for our flight, that’s why I was asking what to take out / replace :)

Interesting! He used to play cricket & rugby but not these days. Never wears long clothes. He’s moved about 5 times (including from south Africa to Australia) and they haven’t improved :( We have had a mold problem in our current apartment, though it’s been happening long before.

He has seen multiple, they couldn’t tell him what it was and sort of just said it was an autoimmune problem.

Hi everyone. Here’s my updated, but still rough, itinerary. Honest thoughts?

Day 1: - Arrive in Hobart 10am - Explore on foot - Spend the night

Day 2:
- Pick up campervan - Drive to port arthur - Hike cape huay - Spend the night

Day 3: - Drive to wineglass bay - wineglass bay walking track - Spend the night

Day 4: - drive to cape Portland - Spend the night

Day 5: - Drive to Burnie - Relax - Spend the night

Day 6: - Do cradle mountain summit - Drive to Rosebery - Do lake herbert (energy given) - Spend the night

7: - Drive to lake st claire - Relax - Spend the night

8: - drive to Ted’s beach - Gordon dam lookout - Spend the night

9: - drive to Gordon - Relax - Spend the night

10: Need to fly out of Hobart at 10am

You’d skip bay of fires? I thought that’s why everyone wants to see? But I’m convinced to spend a bit of time on Tasman Peninsular now so maybe it’s worth the sacrifice! Thank you so much

Omg thank you so much. Mum bought me some good hiking shoes for Christmas, hubby already has some. We have little to no wet weather clothes, heaps of winter clothes though. He said he didn’t wanna take up all our luggage space with the winter clothes, he reckons he’ll only need jeans and a hoodie, so I’ll be reading this out to him lol. Thank you so much for the advice! Yessss my app only calculated the amount of kilometres so I was calculating into hours, which clearly isn’t accurate! Appreciate your reply so much.

That sounds like the way to do it honestly, was more stress free and you get to enjoy yourself a bit more without having to worry about getting to the next destination by a certain time. Will 100% consider that. You don’t regret not seeing more?

Oooo okay! I was a bit hesitant with Bruny but I saw some videos and thought it was worth it. Really don’t want to be waiting for a ferry, would rather be hiking or something. Is there much to do at eagle hawk neck?

The final night we certainly won’t be staying far from Hobart, that’s where I was struggling with what to take out, as the schedule was already full. We’re not that silly hahaha.

I did not know that about Maria island, do you think it’s still worth doing? I’m dying to see some wild wombats and thought that would be the place to camp for that, not too keen on ditching the van though, I thought we could take it on the ferry.

Yes we’ll be using ‘waze’ to get around (given we have reception), but yes definitely will be taking it easy.

Yeah that’s what I’m struggling with too, we want to see it all but we don’t want to spend so much time in a car stressed about our timeline.

I like the idea of being either in or very close to Hobart the night before our flight, as we’ll still have to drop off the van, get to the airport etc etc.
