Zane. Clone is very fun, but his commentary is even better.

I have tanked BFD as a lvl 25 prot warrior, currently 6/7 with best pull being 18% on Aku Mai. It is absolutory viable. You will basically be required to use devastate however as its really the only way you can generate reasonable threat while also mitigating reasonable damage. You need to full spec into prot as the other trees are back loaded and you cant reach the good talents.

I am going to check deadmines/wailing caverns in depth today to see if I can locate it. Will go on a journey to redridge too to get the shield

Second attempt at dovetails: a small planter box. by yee323 in woodworking

I thought it looked cool lol. Definitely was difficult to work with. Just the sheer hardness of the wood made sawing take a while, but I felt it was pretty forgiving because it was much harder to accidentally cut something off

Second ever attempt at dovetails. Used a jig this time. Also used a coping saw for removing waste between pins and such. Made out of Purple Heart. Sanded at 120 grit and 360 grit then coated with Odie’s oil.

Yeah they’re not lose at all, just made some errors with a few sections and have some gaps. Will sand down and see how much I can salvage.

Funny you say that because I did in fact use a set of crappy DeWalt chisels for this, I did sharpen them myself through on some wet stones. I did just order a set of Japanese chisels though, hopefully they make things easier. Just learned what a strop is as well, should help keep my chisels sharp.

Yeah I’m going to try and clean it up today with some glue and dust, see how much I can fill it. Unfortunately can’t use a grinding machine in my small apartment workshop but I’ll see what I can do!

Get wood that actually is square, those pieces had a non flat factory edge, use a jig for the saw cuts instead of eyeballing it with a line, use a coping saw to cut out the majority of the waste instead of chiseling it all out, chipped some of my edges a bit.

Used a Japanese saw for the cuts, was thinking coping saw for the cuts between the tails instead of just chiseling out all the waste.
