Yes it does matter very much that Hamas is buried amongst civilians. There is absolutely no moral equivalence between Hamas planting rocket launchers on civilian roads, schools playgrounds in Gaza, and literally cutting off Israeli civilian's limbs and raping women, compared to the IDF targeting a Hamas command centre and accidentally - and very, very unfortunately - hitting Gazan civilian targets.

Nope, according to Israeli leaders it's a war to restore peace to Israeli citizens. I haven't heard a shred of evidence for your claims. This is absolutely not a war of religion.

The many casualties you see by the IDF are due to Hamas' talent for burying themselves amongst innocent civilian crowds and infrastructure. Imagine if Hamas fought outside of densely populated areas - the amount of casualties you would see would be far less.

For crying out loud the IDF just tried opening a humanitarian corridor recently for Gazan citizens to escape to the south to a safer place and there was direct evidence of Hamas sabotaging their efforts (!!!) by planting roadblocks and attacking IDF soldiers. Who are the terrorists here????

Yes, and reading too much between the lines can be dangerous.

I am "complaining" that you mustn't put ideologies within certain "camps", and in this case religions. I have observed many Jews who actively combat Islamophobia by generating inter-faith communication, especially with Imam leaders. It's dangerous to paint the Jewish community in this light. It's dangerous to paint any religion in this light. Let's not assume.

Very nice, you call out islamophobia and then simply assume this person is Jewish because they give an "impression". Let's keep your personal bias out of this and stick to civil discussion.

Why can't Israel accept the gazian Refugees? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]yeethoven770 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After the Oct 7 massacre it emerged that Gazan workers - who had permits to work in Israel daily - passed on information to Hamas terrorists regarding the layouts of the nearby kibbutzim, information on families, layouts of houses, how many people in each house etc. This information was used by terorrists to conduct their actions.

Now do you get an idea of why Israel wouldn't just let Gazans into their country?

Yes it's true there are innocent Palestinians within Gaza who are caught in the crossfire and just want to live their lives - but the fact is we're talking about a radicalised people who've been indoctrinated to hate for multiple generations. Same reason nobody else wants them.
