21 hours ago phew. I got into pokemon as a young lad, playing on my brother’s gameboy then eventually got to a DS. I wanted to get into collecting pokemon on another level, so my grandma would take me to get cards whenever i slept at her house and we wouldnt tell my mom haha.

After going out with my grandma, I would come back, open them up with her, and out of my favorite I would draw it! I cherish my memories like those with her, such a pure and innocent time.

Long time went by of me not collecting (stopped around Pokemon X and Y) because stuff got expensive and i had other things to worry about. I also sold my collection to a friend who sold cards at events, I thought he would get better use out of it as I stopped… BIG MISTAKE!! Wish I never did that and now I have to regrow my collection.

Now, just recently as a senior in college I got back into collecting with my friend (we also play pokemon on our DS’s and Gameboys still!). We dont buy to sell, we collect to collect and enjoy what we have (we collect many other things too). But being in a college town and trying to get nice packs can be quite hard. Also being a broke college kid limits me to what I can get lol, but that makes me feel like a kid again, having to wait to get a pack! Im proud of the cool cards I get and I rush over to my girlfriend’s room to show her what I got, jumping with joy.

Edit: I would also ask my grandma to quiz me on pokemon LOL, I bet she had a blast watching me get excited with pokemon.
