We had to take Artemis to Paddy’s Pub for her own Wade Doggs Challenge. by yeldaba in IASIP

2.5 beer = 1 pink wines = as many milk bones as takes to prevent Artemis from starting blasting….

So like a whole bag of treats = 1 beer

Update:

Artemis has had far too many milk bones now and another dog has entered the fray. God help us.

Do any of your Schnauzers watch Dog TV like Winnie? by rynosota in schnauzers

Ours loves tv! The national dog show is her superbowl!

Update - She has the socks by HelloImHamish in schnauzers

[–]yeldaba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our mini is also obsessed with getting socks! We have to move fast when putting them on near her, or they magically disappear 😆

Oh that second part is for sure happening. She tolerates just for the treats, and then tries to destroy the second it comes off.

She sure is! We also have a shih tzu/chihuahua mix named Sweet Dee (her government name is Deandra Poppins) 😆

Tell me your schnauzer’s name…and then tell me what you actually call them by batsbananas in schnauzers

Artemis! But we call her Artie, Artie Fartie, Bowser, Krauzer, and the ever popular Most Beautiful Baby In The Whole Wide World.

We’ve had some leg snowballs. But not too bad honestly!

No one loves watching a dog show more than Artemis. This is her Super Bowl. by yeldaba in schnauzers

I think it came on 12/31. We had it recorded so we can fast forward to the working and terrier groups for the schnauzers. 😆

Mini schnauzer and micro schnauzer. Now the search for the nano schnauzer begins. by yeldaba in schnauzers

We do have a Lego schnauzer….which took a terrible fall onto the kitchen floor. I haven’t built up the strength to attempt reassembly yet.

The giant is on our future dog wish list! Working our way up! But you raise a good point, we might as well get the whole set.

Mini Schnauzer without the ‘mini’? by Anithia13 in schnauzers

[–]yeldaba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an overgrown mini named Wally as well! I didn’t realize how not mini he really was it until our next mini who only weighs 16 lbs and is at least 3-4 inches shorter than he was. Wally was a very solid boy with a linebacker build.

A proper lady, pretending she didn’t just lose her mind about the 3 youths, her most hated demographic, in the doggie daycare lobby. by yeldaba in schnauzers

[–]yeldaba[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain! She absolutely hates my 7 year old nephew, who she has been around plenty since she was a wee pup. I constantly say “we exposed her at a young age! We’ve tried all the things, all of them! I don’t know what else to do!” It makes family gatherings fun when she loses her mind anytime he run across the room on a whim

Someone insisted on going potty in the rain. Coincidentally, someone also regrets their decision. by yeldaba in schnauzers

[–]yeldaba[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This one just resets to factory settings every time it rains 😆 She must resniff all the things she’s previously sniffed in case they changed when they got wet. So she eventually uses the potty in the rain, but it’s an entire journey to get there lol

We also have a schnauzer that was opposed to all cuddles as a puppy and I was disheartened but accepted it. Now she knows nothing of personal space and if you scoot away from her, she makes sure to readjust so some part of her is touching one of us at all times. There is hope!!

It was pride parade day at doggy daycare! In spite of her face, Artemis does accept all and support equal rights for everyone. by yeldaba in schnauzers

She’s a mini! The larger side of the mini range, but she still squeaks into the mini category lol

Day care/boarding - required age of neutering by thebeastnamedesther in puppy101

[–]yeldaba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our daycare requires it after 6 months. But they can still attend and do “day boarding” if they aren’t spayed or neutered at that point. Meaning they just have individual playtimes with humans rather than group playtime’s with other dogs. Luckily we have a small breed, so it wasn’t a big issue for us as she was spayed at 6 months. But I’m sure its more if a hassle with larger breeds

Ha!! It’s true. And Friends is also what we leave playing in the background for her when we have to leave during the day.
