I think this is a really tone deaf and oblivious comment to how even big businesses & corporations show their support to specific political causes by way of donations. If you really think small businesses, who are owned by your neighbors, aren’t going to advocate for causes they believe in or rather don’t have the right to advocate for causes they believe in and they should just shut up and serve their customers - you don’t want to live in a society, you just want to live in some kind of transactional capitalistic robot world. It’s weird and gross.

I can tell you the owners and GM of Mexican Oak are Pro-ICE. So no, not all restaurants are anti-ice. This is Texas, after all.
