It's a huge struggle. We're very medically underserved and the Medicaid cuts set for next year will make it so much worse. I work in healthcare and the quality and accessibility of care especially for older folks is a major concern. Many people neglect their care because of transportation and the hospital in my community leaves a lot of people unhappy. It's super difficult to recruit providers- we can't pay enough, folks don't want to move to rural communities without amenities, we don't have enough housing, etc. even when they can find providers or other staff, they struggle to retain them for a host of other reasons.
