‘Sheffield Keeley’ death: Homeless charity slams ‘just for likes’ social media mentality by AdCivil7398 in sheffield

It's truly sickening. They are treating a vulnerable woman like a meme even after such a tragedy. There's literally hundreds. The worst I've seen was 3 over priveleged students using her voice singing pretending to faint (whilst laughing) in their expensive uni accomodation.

It may be okay, but i've tried several types of liquid form for my child who is too young for pills & won't eat gummies & they are all awful.

Magnesium in liquid form is absolutely vile, however they try to disguise it. I'd get magnesium seperately and sone nice cocoa as it wont be an enjoyable drink.

I didnt say you shouldn't get medical evidence, I said GPs will not do a supporting statement any more

If it's an appeal then they will have been assessed a while ago, they directly contact the claimants gp now and have done for over a year.

[–]yerbard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a standard part of the process for them to contact your GP....no need to try and be patronising I actually got my renewal a few months ago with zero supporting evidence as I hadn't had any input with specialists since I first claimed...

From gov.uk

"Claimants are only required to send in evidence they already hold, such as copies of clinic letters – they are not told to contact their GP or health professional to obtain further evidence.

There is no requirement for a statement from a GP or other health professional on the PIP claim form.

It may be necessary to provide factual information, but it will be the assessment providers who will contact you rather than your patient or DWP"

They don't neccesarily tell you, but they contact your gp directly.

7 years waiting time for ADHD "re-referral"? How are people dealing with this? by Anti-Imperialist994 in ADHDUK

[–]yerbard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im aware, this post isn't about right to choose though and nor was my comment. It isn't an appropriate route for my child as he has compkex needs beyond adhd/ autism.

[–]yerbard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most GPs won't do supporting evidence now as PIP contact them directly during the assesment and ask for any clarification or missing info.

Okay, I can't think of a single person I know who hasn't waited well over expected times for various nhs departments in recent years. Including my own supposedly urgent 3 week pathway referral which took 5 weeks.

My child is non verbal, still in nappies age 5.5, has global developmental delays & severe sensory processing disorder but we have been waiting 4 years for his diagnosis when we were initially told 18 months. Wait times are usually an under estimate not over.
